While walking around Dilijan, you will find yourself in a unique neighborhood with interesting houses and wooden balconies. You will come across the works of carpenters, bakers, potters and jewelers.
Simulating the natural conditions, the city is sometimes called "Armenian Switzerland".
We will visit the Ijevan Wine Brandy factory also, where visitors can tour the production facilities, learn about the winemaking process, and enjoy guided tastings that showcase the authentic flavors and aromas of Armenia.

Monastery Sevanavank
Mariam, the daughter of King Ashot I, promised to build 30 churches in honour of her late husband. She kept her promise throughout her life. One of them, Sevanavank, was built in 874. Founded in the 4th century, Sevanavank experienced its development in the 9th century. Apart from the two standing churches, the unique khachkar of the 17th century, with its many biblical scenes, deserves special attention. The name of the capital, Yerevan, was recorded for the first time on the dome of Sevanavank.
Lake Sevan
The first place we will visit is Lake Sevan, the beauty of Armenia. Being 1900 meters above sea level, Sevan is the second-highest lake in the world with a freshwater supply. Sevan, of volcanic origin, is surrounded by mountain ranges divided into two parts and one large peninsula. Lake Sevan enjoys great popularity among tourists for both active and passive recreation. With a maximum depth of 83 meters, Sevan is the only one of the three historical Armenian lakes located on the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

4.00Sembat and our driver Artur had done an excellent job. Especially Artur....the driver in Armenia often holds "surprises" for which we are not prepared here in the "West". The tour is worthwhile: Landscape and culture are unique and Sembat was able to convey it well. We would have liked tw better communication: e.g. before getting off the bus the hints that Sembat is taking a small guided tour and waiting for the group participants. Still, gladly again. 4.00Nice experience good, educated & professional staff. The last 2 stops though was unnecessary. Especially the last one by the river everything was closed maybe it wasn’t the right season to go. Also the road at some point at the last stop was a bit dangerous and we got scared.

And a little bonus: a quasi-private vehicle for the family, and the little sms to warn us the night before. The organization at the top
