  Doing the tour with a small company as the one Oddur has, it's just perfect! We were 6 friends and he took us around showing us the best points were to enjoy the view,he explained us all the secrets about the glacier and told us stories about mithology! Five stars and more!

  My girlfriend and I could not have hoped for a better experience. 12 days in Iceland and this was without a doubt our favorite experience. We highly recommend the the extra small group with the combination of the glacier hike and cave tour as the pace at which you move affords ample opportunities for conversation, photos, and even a stop for a quick snack if you brought one. Fear not if you’re not the most fleet-of-foot or in peak physical condition. Anyone who is ambulatory and healthy enough to walk under their own power should be able to do this just fine. We had the pleasure and privilege of being led up, down and all around the glacier by Franziska. While it was an experience to behold visually, the trip was made all the more memorable thanks to Franziska’s abundant knowledge of the landscape around us, its condition today, its potentially tragic future, and its long history, affording a depth of understanding not achievable by simply walking on the glacier’s surface. Thank you to Melrakki and particularly Franziska for affording us such an incredible opportunity and memorable experience. • Fabulous Ice Cave Tour with Franzy!

  What a great tour! Our original glacier walk with Melrakki Adventures was canceled, so we rebooked just the ice cave, and it didn't disappoint. Our tour guide was Franzy, and she was amazing. She shared a lot of great information and did her best to navigate our small group around the other bigger groups to give us more time in the ice cave without a ton of people. She was even our personal photographer. When we left, she shared a lot of ideas and suggestions for the rest of the trip. This one one of our top experiences in Iceland. If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, don't hesitate to book it with Melrakki - and ask for Franzy. You won't regret it!

  

  

  

  

• Spectacular Ice Cave excursion

  Franzy was so much fun! The ice cave was amazing. It was truly an amazing experience, and it ended up being just the three of us going on the exposition. It felt like a small group of friends going out to hike and see an amazing cave. Franzy had a lot of great information about the glaciers, the caves, and a passion for Iceland. We lucked out and got to the cave 20 min or so before anyone else got there, so we were lucky enough to have the cave to ourselves for a little while which was so amazing. I would highly recommended them, they keep the groups small, and the drive up was so much fun.

  We had an EXCELLENT time. Oddur was very professional and knowledgable from the start. The equipment (crampons, harness and piolet) all in perfect conditions. We felt safe all the time. Superb explanations of the volcano, the history, and many nice storie. Also gave us tips of other things to do in near by areas. Overall, superb experience and will highly recommend it ! Will do it again when back to Iceland !

• Great glacier hike and ice cave tour

  This tour was the best thing we did during our travels in Iceland! Thanks to the low tourist numbers we actually had a private tour so it was just two of us with Oddur and Katerina on the glacier that day. We had an amazing time with them, they told us so much about the glacier, took pictures for us and gave us as much time as we wanted. The two are really nice and relaxed, they make you feel safe on the glacier and are just perfect guides! I can strongly recommend doing the tour with them! Thank you guys again for such a wonderful experience!

  It was, for sure, one of the best experience of my life grace to Oddur & Katerina. They were very nice, enjoyable, interesting and they adapted to us during the glacier hike. They don"t hesitate to take a break if you need, explain all we have to know about glaciers, or take some pictures. They drove us at the closest point of the glacier, and we were alone during this period, so we spent more time in the glacier. In conclusion, it was wonderful and magical ! So don't hesitate to choose Melrakki company, it's the best way to enjoy your journey with perfect guides !
