Children 6 and under are entitled to free access to the Vatican Museums (with proof of age)
Children aged 7-18 are entitled to a reduced entry fee (see tour and ticket pricing) and must provide proof of age.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked start time. Tickets are time sensitive and we cannot accomodate late arrivals.
Important: St. Peter's Basilica is not included in all tour options. If you wish to visit the Basilica as part of your experience, please ensure you select a tour where it is explicitly listed as included.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.
Please include all names as they appear on your passports when booking. Tickets are non-transferable and if the names on your booking do not match your ID you may be denied access and will not be due a refund. Any name changes must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance.
Please bring official ID with you (or a photo/photocopy).
Important: The ‘Basilica Only’ option it does NOT include access to the Vatican Museums.
Important: From January 12 to March 31, 2026, conservation work will be carried out on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment (Giudizio Universale). The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors; however, the fresco will be temporarily not visible due to scaffolding. We thank you for your understanding during this important preservation project.

5.00Our tour of the Vatican was wonderful! Loreley was a great guide: friendly, informed, and informative. She was really effective in moving us through the crowds and making sure we saw everything we came to see, and she clearly enjoyed sharing her knowledge. In the Sistine Chapel, we had a great private conversation about the frescos and about what it must have been like for Michelangelo to paint them. It was nice to be sharing ideas with someone who knew the Chapel so well. We were especially pleased that the tour left us to explore St. Peter's Basilica on our own with no time limitation. We probably spent two additional hours exploring this extraordinary church. EcoArt was great to do business with. They were contact with us throughout the process of planning the tour and meeting Loreley. They let us know early on that the Last Judgement fresco was being restored and we couldn't see it, so there was no surprise when we got to the Chapel. They checked in with us just before the tour to ensure we know when and where to meet. They were also easy to communicate with when we were worried they we would be late for the start of the tour (there was a downpour that morning) and kept in communication. We would be happy to tour with EcoArt and Loreley again.

5.00Our guide Laura was exceptional - she managed to lead us through a big crowd of visitors (without losing any of us!) while sharing a great selection of facts and anecdotes from the rich history of the Vatican. Even though it was only a short glimpse, this will make a great memory for the family.
Do a tour for these but doesn’t have to be this one.

4.00Be careful of Wednesdays. We thought we were also booked for the tour of St Peter’s but this wasn’t it. Finding this out at the beginning definitely got us off on the wrong foot. It was not very clear in the description. I have done this tour with another company a couple years ago and this was not quite as good. It’s definitely worth seeing these three places via a tour and you do need 3 hours to give it justice. These places are a treasure of history to experience without a doubt.
