Take a walk on the wild side of Tromsø on this small-group outdoor hiking tour and explore the Arctic nature on foot. You'll be taken to the countryside of Tromsø in the middle of beautiful mountains, fjords and valleys, where you and your group will snowshoe up a small mountain or along a valley with a guide. On the tour we will be using snowshoes, which makes it easier and a lot of fun to walk on the snow.
In the autumn months (October and November), you'll get to enjoy the colourful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. When there is not much snow, the tour is a hiking tour without snowshoes.

Snowshoes (snow rackets) are included, please give us your shoe sizes
The place where you will be staying at (Hotel, Air BnB or other)
Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear warm and water resistant clothes and have an extra layer with you and shoes/boots that are suitable for hiking
It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water with you (0,5 liters shoud be enough)

Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the camp itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities)
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 2 passengers per tours. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
Please arrive 15 minutes early, the guide must depart at 10am.
If there is no snow, or not much snow, we'll hike instead of snowshoe.

Northern Norway has a unique nature, which changes with varying colors and light of the four seasons. This tour takes you right in the middle of these amazing landscapes. The tour starts from Tromso city center, from where you will head to the coast on the west side of Tromso. With a small-group size (maximum eight people), you will have an intimate and cozy experience. You will be driven to the countryside of Tromso. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the walk will be done either with or without snowshoes. In the autumn months (October and November) you'll get to enjoy the colorful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. In the winter, the landscape will be white with snow to play in. After the drive stretch your legs on a nice walk up a small mountain. The Arctic nature offers you an unforgettable experience. During the walk you can view wildlife and when you reach the summit you will be provided lunch. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip, free of charge. Just enjoy the hike.

5.00Max and Ellie, our guides, were wonderfully attentive. My friend and I were older by far than any of the other participants in our group. We were slower, but made it! Max and Ellie supported us and never made us feel like we were a burden. The view and quiet, stunning environment is worth the effort. Thank you, Max and Ellie!

5.00Great experience. The guide was nice and helpful, and led us on a lovely route with great views and plenty of untouched snow. We also spot a pair of reindeers during the trip!

5.00We loved our snowshoe walk guided by Nicolas & driven by Gerard. A beautiful walk with stunning scenery. A walk I will remember for life! We slid down two hills on little sledge/trays which was exhilarating! We saw reindeer in the distance and found their tracks. We had a hot drink & delicious sandwich & biscuits half way. It was well organised, and an ideal pace, I liked that we were a small group, we were given good advice and all questions were answered. Nicolas took great care to take good photos of us too which were sent to us for free. We were provided with the correct equipment and felt safe and happy the whole time. Nicolas did a fantastic job looking after us & really made it a memorable experience!

5.00The great attention given to us by the guide Ellie, who first asked us all what places we had already known not to repeat sites. It also made us the excursion super fun, with lots of explanations and lots of stops to take pictures of great landscapes. A tenner.

5.00We went on a snowshoeing trip with Gerard as our guide, who was excellent. Communication before the trip was very good and friendly. Our transport arrived promptly and off we went with a small group to trek in the nearby mountains. It's a fun trip, with beautiful scenery and a good workout too Highly recommend
