Please note that as we are a busy performing arts centre, venues and theatres are subject to availability at the time of your tour.

Make the most of a day out at the Opera House by going on our 1-hour tour followed by a lunch or an early dinner at your choice of harbourside restaurants. Redeem your ticket at Opera Bar or House Canteen between 11.30am - 6pm, or Midden by Mark Olive between 11.30am-2.30pm, or 5-6pm

Option: Language Tour and Language Tour & Meal + Drink options.

Choose French, German, or Spanish Tour, to experience the tour with one of our language-speaking guides.

Please note the standard guided tour contains approx. 300 stairs - Low Impact. If you have limited mobility there are daily mobility access tours available on request pre-booking is required please contact the supplier directly.

Tour + Main Meal & Drink: Redeem your ticket stub at either of our harbourside dining venues on day of your tour booking. Includes main meal and a beverage from a selection.

One Hour Tour including Tour & Dine please check in at the Welcome Centre on the lower concourse level ten minutes prior to your tour time

Redeem tour & dine at House Canteen or Opera Bar between 11.30am-6pm on the day of the tour.

Redeem tour & dine at Midden by Mark Olive between 11.30am-2.30pm, or 5-6pm on the day of the tour.

Infants under 5 are permitted on the 1 hour tour free of charge, however still require a ticket to be booked

Your tour of the Sydney Opera House allows you to step beneath the sails of one of the world’s most iconic performance venues, where more than 1,800 concerts, plays, musicals and ballets are staged every year. Explore it with an insider guide, who shares stories and fun facts about the opera house’s history, performances and architecture throughout your 1-hour tour. Walk through the elegant foyers, visit one of the largest pillar-free chambers in the world, sit down in a custom-made white birch chair and look up at the vaulted ceiling. Check out areas that are off-limits to the general public, learn about the distinctive exterior design made up of ‘shell’ tiles, and hear about opera house’s Danish architect, including his inspiration and building challenges.

It is an easy way to get a different view of this magnificent building, if one isn’t lucky enough to get tickets for a performance, also because with the tour one gets to experience the facilities without overcrowding - and the photo opportunities to appreciate the architecture and structure of the venue are plentiful. The visitors also receive additional information regarding the building process and the origins of the project, and its long term plans, too. It is extremely interesting and well executed. Out guide was also very good and had a good sense of humour. This was my second time doing the tour, the first one having been almost 10 years ago, but I am glad I did it again because I had forgotten some of the details.

The Sydney Opera House is every bit as breathtaking in person as you imagine—maybe even more. Its architecture is stunning from every angle, whether you’re standing right beneath the sails or admiring it from across the harbor. Inside, the tours are incredibly well done and give you a deeper appreciation for the design and history. If you have time, catching a performance is unforgettable—the acoustics and setting make it feel truly special. A landmark that’s iconic for a reason—beautiful, vibrant, and a must-see when visiting Sydney.

One of the best walking tours I have taken. As someone that is hearing impaired, it is always difficult to hear the guide. They provide a headset for everyone. A headset that works great with hearing aids. The Opera House is beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny

Warned about the steps- there were many many steps to each level!!!! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Hearing about the construction planning and special features was worth the price of admission.. sorry to not have timed it to a rehearsal. Headsets are a great asset

Very nice tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate in describing the Sydney Opera Theater. As a bonus, we recieved a sampling of opera and ballet. Your tickets also gave you a discount on upcoming events. Great deal!
