The fascinating Te Anau caves system on the western shore of Lake Te Anau offers an underground adventure that charms visitors of all ages. This tour takes you to a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of thousands of glowworms.

5.00The glow worm caves were the most unique way to see glow worms in the world. You travel across an epic lake, walk through an old forest and go through a network of water tunnels to get to a boat and float through the cave in darkness and silence. Great way to see the sunset and Te Anau area and you can have complimentary coffee tea and hot chocolate if it's cold. Emmy was a great tour guide

5.00The service is impeccable. Infrastructure and organization millimetres. The staff is very smiling and pleasant. The visit to the cellars is impressive and the passage by boat under the glowworms is just magical.

5.00Great and interesting experience, the guides are very knowing, and helpful. It can be a little hard hearing what they are telling inside the cave, because of the noise from the water

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the glow worm caves at Te Anau. Our guide, Gemma, was so kind and caring towards our daughter picking up that she needed extra help to get through the cave. She spoke to her with grace and dignity and included her in all parts of the tour. The cave itself and the glow worms are something you must see. So beautiful. Would absolutely recommend doing this tour.

5.00Great tour. The caves were amazing and out of this world. We were lucky as the guides mentioned lots of eggs and glow worms this time of year.
We enjoyed the whole trip. The staff were very knowledgeable, and we learnt far more than we thought we would.

5.00We had a fab time at the caves!! staff were lovely and the free teas and coffees were and added bonus. Top tip: wear insect repellent!!

5.00Educational. Walk safely on a raised walkway above rushing water before entering a punt. Then entered a dark area with little blue constellations of glow worms. magical setting. Educational guide.

5.00The Glow worm caves are a unique experience. You walk through a cave with a river flowing through it in mostly darkness. You enter a small boat that is pulled around through the cave in silence. The glow looks like little stars or LEDs on the celling and sides of the cave. For us, it was well worth the cost. I don't think you will find many other places to experience them.
