The fascinating Te Anau caves system on the western shore of Lake Te Anau offers an underground adventure that charms visitors of all ages. This tour takes you to a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of thousands of glowworms.

5.00So much fun. Informative, enjoyable day for our whole family. Boat ride over had great commentary and caves were equally as interesting in terms of commentary and observing the glow worms. Highly recommend.

5.00Well worth it, better than I could have imagined! The numbers in the cave are limited to about 11 so it’s comfortable and safe. Magical boat ride under a galaxy of glow worms. We did this in silence.

5.00Tour and guide were very interesting and informative. T boat ride to see the worms was shorter than expected, some guests on the boat were scared in the pitch black and the walk was a little challenging for older guests as you had to bend down considerably to enter the cave. But we enjoyed the experience.

5.00It is a must do. Very unique and wonderful. you may want to go without toddlers and kids as it can get really dark and kids get scared.

5.00The excursion was well organized. We enjoyed the boat ride down Lake Te Anau. The walk through the cave was thrilling, with the water rushing below. Our guide was knowledgeable and presented well. However, the boat ride through the part of the cave where the Glowworms dwell was surreal. They formed so many tiny points of light in star-like patterns.

5.00This is advertised as a glow worm tour, but it’s so much more. The cave systems, the underground rivers and streams and waterfalls made it an unforgettable experience. The glow worms were also amazing.
