  Our Tour Operator guided Tour was cancelled on the morning of our departure to the airport so I quickly booked this TripAdvisor recommended Tip-based tour. Despite booking from UK the booking fee was 3 dollars per person. On the day, the guide suggested a tip at the end of the tour of 150 Norwegian Krona per person (approx £12). This was excellent value for a 2-hour and 40 minutes walking tour. Sami was excellent and painted a fantastic characterisation of Norwegian life. All of his food and drink recommendation were excellent (apart from the Sostrene Hagelin which I was disappointed with). He gave us all a sample of local brown cheese which reminded me of Caramac. The only warning to others is that we went up and down some steep cobbled streets so have sensible footwear.

  We did the tip based walking tour with Sami. He was informative entertaining and funny. We really enjoyed this tour and learned a lot about this beautiful city. I highly recommend you do this tour with Sami.

  Sami was fabulous! Really enjoyed all his knowledge and passion he has for the city. You are able to tip from your card at the very end in case you don’t have cash on hand.

  Very interesting and informative tour. Lots of local info and amusing stories. Would recommend a walking tour with Sami. We went to areas of Bergen we wouldn’t have seen on our own

  Sami did a good job leading us around in the drizzly rain and explaining some of the history of Bergen and the buildings.

  Sammy was great. Very personable and knowledgeable, adding to historical and cultural information with his own personal experiences. Responsive to questions and kept up a good pace.

  Sammy was excellent! Energetic and knowledgable of Bergen and its history. He gave us many useful tips and suggestions. We toured many of the key attractions and he pointed out some interesting little known facts like the phone booths that act as book exchanges. What disturbed me was that Sammy only got paid by tips and not from Viator after we paid Viator for this tour. Viator also didn't list this as a tip based tour when it was posted. Very deceiving and we felt bad for Sammy after an excellent tour.

  A really enjoyable tour led by Sami. Very friendly chap who shared his great knowledge and tips about the city. A good way to get an overview of things to do and see.

  Jacob was very pleasant and entertaining. He knew a good deal about Bergen and it's history although was unable to answer a couple of questions. We also paid for a two hour tour but it only lasted 80 minutes and we were then expected to tip!
