Take a tour from Kalabaka into the woods around Meteora, beginning at the Meteora Museum. Take your car or a taxi to follow the truffle hunting crew. Walk with the truffle hunter and his dogs to search for rare species of truffle. Specially trained truffle dogs with their trainer are searching for this unique fruit of Greek nature. Learn about the species of truffles that exist there and how they can be used. 4.00This is a great experience. It is pricey. Almost $600. The staff that greats you and does the event information is very brusque. The dog is wonderful as is his trainer! The chef that cooks the pasta is excellent. The truffles were kept by the staff and not given to our group (a bit disappointing). The Museum is fantastic! Overall we really exited the experience. Not worth a repeat though. NicholasTours.com
