Join an evening excursion and follow cryptic radio transmissions and the lingering traces of two long-ago hikers to find the scenic trailhead where the real journey begins. This pathway leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true. Moment Factory, a global leader in video, lighting, sounds and special effects, will bring Whistler’s forests to life this summer with a brand-new show.
This 1.5 km (summer) / 1km (winter) trail through an old growth forest will take visitors of all ages on an hour-long multimedia night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders.
The entire experience takes place outside within a trail network which is partially levelled but not asphalted.
Please note the Summer course involves staircases.

This is an outdoor experience that runs rain, snow or shine. Travellers must be physically fit to walk the unpaved trail in winter conditions.

Vallea Lumina
Every evening after the sun sets, the magic of Vallea Lumina begins. This activity is family friendly and all ages are welcome to marvel at the hidden wonders of forest. Guests will arrive at our quaint Cougar Mountain basecamp, where they can enjoy free parking, offerings from our Café like hot chocolate, cookies and s'mores kits that can enjoyed by our fire-pits and washroom facilities. At tour time, guests will be check in by our Rangers and begin the 1km trail through an enchanted forest. The unpaved trails winds through the forest and over rivers, with magical lights and mysterious sounds guiding the way. Vallea Lumina leads toward a place filled with beauty, and proof that the legends of Whistler are true.

Duration: 45 minutes: An outdoor 1km multimedia night walk experience into a forest of hidden wonders. Self paced and self guided.
Basecamp Experience: Before and after your tour, enjoy the ambiance of our Cougar Mountain basecamp with Café and firepits to roast marshmallows.

5.00Lots of stairs to climb with rough uneven gravel for a senior citizen. However, worth the climb. Story told beautifully with beautiful light displays. Loved it.

4.00This experience was absolutely amazing and definitely one to remember! The only reason we’re giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a hiccup with the shuttle. When we called ahead, we were told it was first come, first served, but a large tour group that arrived after us was given priority and filled the entire bus, so we had to wait an extra 30 minutes. While that was a bit frustrating, once we arrived, everything else was fantastic and truly made up for it.
