Be amazed by the thousands of magical glowworms above on this 45-minute, small group guided tour, as you glide silently by boat in the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Many of the current guides are descendants of the Maori chief who originally explored the cave and can share with you the remarkable history of the area. Guided since the late 1880s, this is the original, iconic New Zealand attraction.

Not to bring small children who get upset ? By the dark. When people told to be quiet they were not. With these 2 issues the glow worms were not as bright as when I have been before

This was a wonderful experience that our entire family enjoyed. The description was accurate and we were amazed at what we saw. Appreciated the local and personalized touch provided by our Māori guide.
It was great even though it was the fourth time.

It was great, especially when our tour guide, Rani, sang a song for us (Pokarekare Ana). It was very touching.

I loved when our guide took us into a dark part of the cave and sang a love song to us in the Maori language. I also love seeing the glow worms in the light! Such an amazing tour.

A wonderful experience. Our guide- steve was very informative and witty. Full of useful information. The staff are all family/extended family. Well worth a visit
