White Desert
White Desert National Park is a national park in Egypt, first established as a protected area in 2002. It is located in the Farafra depression, 45 km north of the town of Farafra. Part of the park is in the Farafra Oasis (New Valley Governorate). The park is the site of large white chalk rock formations, created through erosion by wind and sand. It is also the site of cliffs (at the northern end of the Farafra Depression), sand dunes (part of the Great Sand Sea), as well as Wadi Hennis and oases at Ain El Maqfi and Ain El Wadi. The highest point in the park is at El Qess Abu Said (353 m above sea level) and the lowest is at Wadi Hennis (32m). The park serves as the refuge for various animals, including the endangered Rhim gazelle and the vulnerable Dorcas gazelle, as well as Barbary sheep; jackals; Rüppell's, Red, and Fennec foxes; and Sand cats.

5.00Was a really nice experience...White and black dessert was really picturesque, sand dunes really nice and its worth visiting if you have time from Cairo...Crystal mountains and hot springs not some special. Experience in the camping was awesome 👌 with a Crystal clear sky full of stars, fire and nice found. Our tour guide and in the white and black desert and camping was really friendly, he helped us a lot and we never felt unsafe. After morning pick up a driver drives us up to a point in Baharyia oasis and from there we do change cars for the really activities

5.00This was such a magical experience. We felt very well looked after by the tour team and were given plenty of opportunity to capture photos. The other people we met on the tour were really nice, too. Would 100% recommend, don't let the long drive from Cairo put you off.

4.00Overall we had a great time. The white desert and the black desert are beautiful, that is absolutely to be seen. For hot springs. it has no interest and you are not ready to bathe in it... We pass quite quickly on the different spots but for us it suits us because we like when it moves. Too bad for the surfing activity on the sand “sandbording” because just arrived it was necessary to leave... It’s a pity that in the evening we don’t find the full group of the morning mini bus because being at 5 with different nationalities with the language barrier limits exchanges and it can generate moments a little awkward of white or when everyone is in their corner... (on our side no French in our group that day) In the description we talk about a shower back to camp but we are not shown the showers (we had to look for them) and honestly you have to hang on to want to shower there (dilapidated state, very dirty...) The toilet is very dirty too. A little snack or at least coffee or tea when you come back would be nice I think.

5.00Tour was amazing! Amir, tour operator, gives all informations and schedule before tour and during day tour. He explained each itinerary and stop between pick-up and arrival in desert. Badr was an excellent driver/guide/cook. He left us enough time at each place to enjoy it. Schedule is really well planned. Lunch food was ok and dinner food was excellent. Breakfeast is simple but do job. Sandboard is fun but hot springs are disappointing (old and small concrete pool in a nowhere place). In general, it is a lot of road for a 1-night/2 days tour but it is worth it!

Camping in the middle of the desert was an unforgettable experience: a clear sky full of stars, a campfire, music, and great hospitality from our guide - driver Mahmoud. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The food on the first day (fried frozen chicken nuggets) wasn’t good, especially compared to the rest of the experience. Also, there was no drop-off at the same hotel where we were picked up but in 2 general areas in Cairo (we got informed about this after we had already booked the tour package, just one day before the trip). Overall, it was a very positive and memorable experience, mostly thanks to Mahmoud’s great personality and hospitality.

5.00White and Black desert are very impressive and unique places, that everyone should visit. We made several stops there to see the nice spots and view. The tour was very well organized. Local people (guides) were very helpful and kind. We saw the sunrise and the sunset in white desert. We slept also there at night. We saw the beautiful sky full of stars. We were provided everything needed for food and sleep. Totally recommended.

5.00Our guide, Hazem, was just kind and showed us a lot of beautiful scenery. He made a lot of innovations to entertain us and it was a great memory. They introduced us to some of the most beautiful and unusual spots in the vast desert. While enjoying camping at night, the starry sky was the most beautiful I have ever seen and I was able to see a number of shooting stars. It has been a great trip!

5.00Our guide, Hazem, entertained us with a humorous guide in Japanese. The food at night was also delicious and very satisfying. It is recommended because you can experience it once in a lifetime.
