Truly unique guided kayaking tour on the beautiful Lake Brienz. From your kayak, you are surrounded by snow covered mountains which reflect beautifully on the mirror-like water. Escape the crowded ski pistes for a while and join us in this peaceful and magical environment. Our top end equipment will keep you warm and dry during the tour.

The session lasts 3 hours of which we spent around 2 hours on the water.

What’s included: experienced sea kayak coach, small group sizes (from 2-6), top quality sea kayaks, paddles and top end Palm Bora drysuits, poggies and booties, as well as photo package.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

You do not need previous kayaking experience, but you must be able to handle a kayak on your own.

You should bring warm clothes to be worn under the dry suit: Thick socks, thermal bottom top and a thin jumper. Extra layers if very cold, sunglasses, sunhat, cream (you never know), change of clothes in case you get sweaty or a bit wet.

Children 15 and younger are not allowed.

If you have back, neck, lower back, joint or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether or not to participate.

Our drysuits feature latex gaskets at the wrists to prevent water entry, while the neck area is protected by a neoprene material called Glideskin. Unfortunately, direct contact with these materials is unavoidable. If you have a latex or neoprene allergy, participation may not be suitable depending on the severity of your reaction. We recommend consulting your doctor for personalized advice before joining.

A wonderful experience. They provide all equipment and necessary clothing. Our tour instructor Patrizia showed us the lake and explained a little bit of history of the area. Totally recommend it!

One of the best activities I did while studying abroad! The instructor I had was so nice and the smaller group sizes made for a more relaxed atmosphere and serene experience. Can’t recommend enough!

This kayak tour was incredible from start to finish. Our guide Ryan was amazing in instructing us, the dry suits made kayaking in freezing cold water very comfortable, and the overall experience was pure fun. Cannot recommend this enough -- lake water is as turquoise as the pictures.

We had an amazing experience. Patrizia was a great instructor, sweet, fun, and knowledgeable. The gear kept us dry and warm and the lake was gorgeous.

Had an amazing kayaking experience on Lake Brienz with Hightide! Our guide, Jolien, made everything feel smooth and relaxed—even with our previous kayaking experience, this felt extra special. The tea-and-cookie break in the middle of the lake, surrounded by the Alps, was pure magic. Great vibes, not rushed at all, and finished right on time with big smiles. Highly recommend—especially if you get Jolien as your guide!

It was a wonderful tour that I would highly recommend to anyone. Time flew by and you felt super looked after at all times. It is also nice that you get the photos and videos sent for free and super fast, so you have nice memories.

What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Interlaken. The sun was out and the guide Ryan was interactive and fun. Small group which was perfect. The gear we used was high quality and in great shape. Loved that Ryan took pictures for you so you don’t have to bring your phone. Hightide give you these at no extra charge. Lake Brienz has the most incredible water color. Highly recommended

Went kayaking with my spouse on the lake and got lucky with the beautiful sunny weather along with the having the lake all to ourselves. The kayaking experience itself was amazing but our guide Jolien was the real gem. Had the time of our lives, would recommend everybody to try it.
