My wife and I had a wonderful 2-hour Santa Fe walking tour with our guide, Sita. Our tour started with an expansive overview of Santa Fe's history, culture and its people. We found the overview both informative and rewarding. We then proceeded to have a well-paced walking tour of Santa Fe's architectural landmarks, historical spots, famous side streets, and notable shops. True to the tour's name, Sita gifted us with an enjoyable discovery of Santa Fe.

Tour-guide Sita was extremely pleasant and friendly; a lovely lady to show you around. All of the chocolatiers had excellent stuff to taste and buy, and they were very personable and inviting (except at "Cashmere +" where staff gave a little chilly reception, but their chocolate was delicious). It was really fun to get some history of the region, of Santa Fe the town, and of chocolate while you're also getting to taste some really great stuff. "Kakawa Chocolate House", in particular, was a real stand out: definitely come back after the tour to stock up on their unique "elixir" drinks (get a hot one right there, and buy some mix bags to make at home), and definitely try their Classic Chocolate ice cream. I recommend sharing a single scoop the ice cream; it is NOT bitter at all, but it IS intensely chocolate. We went back to all of the shops after our tour to get a few of their specialties, because each shop had different strengths. Admittedly, however, the price is a bit steep, but my family all had a great time and for my calculus that was worth it.

What a lovely way to learn about Santa Fe -- a bit of history, some walking, CHOCOLATE, some architecture, more walking, more history, MORE CHOCOLATE! A true highlight of our vacation for family -- from my 13-year-old son to my 73-year-old mom.

Sita's storytelling and conversation made this a terrific way for us to spend our 30th anniversary. We had so much fun along the way, plus went back to one of the shops the next day, plus savored some of the chocolate on the flight home. Worth carving room in your itinerary for this tour that is more than just tasting chocolate (not that there would be anything wrong with that!).

Sita was so personable and knowledgeable, both about chocolate and Santa Fe history! The stops along the tour were diverse and interesting, and she had organized the tour around learning more about Santa Fe history and the ties to chocolate! The tour was well worth the cost, and I would highly recommend it to people visiting Santa Fe!

Took the food/history tour with Paul Hillman. Very knowledgeable and personable. Will definitely hook up with him next time that we’re in Santa Fe for the ghost tour.
