This is a tour of the Lower Loop of Yellowstone National Park, which will visit such points of interest as Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, Fountain Paint Pots, Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, Hayden Valley, Lake Yellowstone, and much more! Bring your camera as wildlife sightings including bear, elk, and bison are common. Lunch included!

Upper Geyser Basin

We will witness the eruption of Old Faithful Geyser, possibly other geysers as well depending on timing of stop.

We will stop for either a short walk on the Boardwalk through the Geyser Basin, or a longer walk to an overlook of Grand Prismatic spring, depending on physical ability of guests.

Lower loop tour with Shane was great! He was very knowledgable about Yellowstone, hit all the big highlights and navigated parking well. Shane also had a light sense of humor and had fun with our group - a plus - would recommend!

Dan was absolutely the best tour guide for this experience. His love for the animals and the parks and his deep knowledge of the history and geology and wildlife of the area made our entire trip so enriching. Given that this is the lower loop and the park is so huge, Dan had to keep us on a pretty tight schedule - which I appreciated because it enabled us to also have time when there was wildlife to see spontaneously. He also invited us to ask questions and guide our own experience as much as we would like, but he also used his best judgment to make sure we had the best experience possible in the time we had. Seeing this part of the world is a life-changing experience. I am just so grateful that we did it, and got to do it with a group of people who were fully engaged the entire time. There were only nine of us in total, which made everything a little more intimate and manageable. I would not want to do this with a large tour group. You need time to appreciate what you are seeing and be awestruck by the wonder of it all. Also, I just have to add that the picnic lunch was fantastic. All dietary restrictions were well handled and that’s a challenge for us! Well done to the tour company for checking with us again two days before to verify everything. So professional. We loved this experience. I would not recommend this for small kids (they won’t have the patience or stamina, and would ruin it for others) but if you have well behaved kids from about age 9+, this would be great. It’s way too much driving and parking in crowds to do in your own if you don’t have to. Book it, enjoy and be present! And tell Dan the Nyte family said hi.

Joe D was a great guide. Very knowledgeable of the Grand Teton/Yellowstone area. We were lucky to see both the Bee Hive and Old Faithful erupting at the same time. We also were lucky to see a black bear and a grizzly bear. We did get stopped in a bison road block but that allowed us to see them up close. Lunch was great and Joe D knew a perfect place for lunch where it was beautiful and not crowded. We encountered a person who was having mechanical problems with a rental car. Since there was no cell phone reception available, Joe drove to a ranger station to report the trouble.

Even though we had a car rental, it was a great choice to book a full day tour of the Lower Yellowstone park with Viator. Our tour guide Shane was THE BEST! He knew just the spots to see wildlife and was terrific in navigating the roads around tons of tourists, getting us to specific sites. The parking lots fill up fast-if we weren’t with the tour, I’d probably still be in the park trying to find a spot to park! The tour is with a mini van with no more than 8 people so it makes getting on/off very easy. Our guide, Shane is extremely knowledgeable of the park and the environs. He kept us entertained with his adventures in and around the US and was terrific in engaging 8 of us in conversations. We were a mixed bunch (FL designer, AL prosecutor, WI lawyers, NY nurse & NYPD, and SC advertising & insurance guy). Be the time the 12 hours ended, we were like all old friends! Great time and we owe it all the Shane!

We took the Yellowstone Lower Loop Full Day Tour on June 3rd with David as our guide, and it exceeded all expectations! The tour was extremely well organized, with the perfect amount of time at each attraction so we never felt rushed while still getting to experience so much of Yellowstone’s beauty. David was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge of the area, wildlife, geology, and history made every stop even more meaningful and interesting. What truly stood out was his passion for Yellowstone — it was evident throughout the entire day and made the experience both engaging and memorable. From start to finish, the day was seamless, informative, and incredibly enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Yellowstone in a well-planned and unforgettable way!

This Yellowstone day tour was absolutely outstanding and without a doubt one of the highlights of my trip to Wyoming. The scenery was breathtaking, the wildlife incredible, and every stop along the way felt like something out of a nature documentary. From geysers and hot springs to bison and even grizzly bears, Yellowstone exceeded every expectation I had. What truly made this experience exceptional, however, was our tour guide, Dan. Dan was simply phenomenal. His passion for Yellowstone is evident in everything he does. His knowledge of the park, its wildlife, geology, history, and ecosystem was remarkable, and he shared it in such an engaging and entertaining way that every moment of the tour was fascinating. More importantly, Dan genuinely cares about his guests. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day to make sure everyone had an unforgettable experience. His enthusiasm was contagious, his sense of humor made the day even more enjoyable, and his dedication to providing the best possible tour was second to none. I have taken many tours during my travels, but Dan is, without question, one of the best guides I have ever had. He didn’t just show us Yellowstone, he made us experience it. If you are considering a Yellowstone tour, I can only hope you are lucky enough to have Dan as your guide. He turned an amazing day into a truly unforgettable one.
