Limited time offer, lowest price in Arizona! Welcome to a flight experience for beginners in a training biplane from WWII. You will be exposed to flying in an open cockpit biplane over the McDowall Mountains. The Stearman biplane was used 80 years ago to teach the aviation cadets of WWII, so you will be learning in an authentic piece of history. There are only 2 seats in the plane, one for you and one for me. We'll start with a preflight inspection followed by an explanation of the radios and controls. We can fly smooth and level, or we can add in some more energetic maneuvers for those that desire a more thrilling experience. You will be invited to take the controls as part of the experience. From engine start to return will take approximately 30 minutes although the entire experience last about 1.5 hours. This is a unique experience where you will be exposed to the same type of training that the "Greatest Generation" did during WWII. It's like traveling back in time nearly 80 years

5.00What an incredible experience! Craig was an outstanding host from start to finish. His extensive knowledge of aerospace engineering was evident throughout the flight, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that was both informative and engaging. One of the most impressive parts of the experience was learning that he had rebuilt the plane himself. He also shared the history of the aircraft, which added a unique and personal touch to the flight. Craig made me feel completely comfortable taking the controls and flying the plane, giving me confidence while ensuring safety at every step. The highlight was getting to perform some light aerobatics—an absolute blast and something I'll never forget! If you're looking for a memorable aviation experience with a knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly pilot, I highly recommend flying with Craig.

5.00I booked this open-cockpit Stearman biplane flight as a special experience for my wife, and she absolutely loved every minute of it! The flight on April 17th was thrilling yet smooth and safe. Sitting in the classic WWII-era Stearman with the wind rushing by gave her a real sense of adventure and freedom in the air. Craig (Donald Craig Judd) is a fantastic pilot—professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the aircraft. He made her feel completely comfortable and safe the whole time. She came back with a huge smile and said it was one of the most memorable experiences she’s ever had. This is a unique and exciting way to see the world from above. Every penny was worth it! I would highly recommend this flight to anyone looking for something special, whether as a gift or a personal adventure. You won’t regret it.

5.00It was a really cool experience to get to ride in a Steerman over Phoenix! The instructor is super nice and the flight is really fun! He lets you take controls for a little bit and do some maneuvers if you’re comfortable, but you can just ride along too if that’s what you want. I had a great time and I would definitely recommend!!

5.00This was a gift from my daughter as a "bucket list" experience and it did not disappoint. Craig did a great job explaining the history and the technology of the times before the flight. I was allowed to take controls briefly to get the "feel" of the airplane. What a treat!

5.00This biplane experience with Craig was absolutely incredible! One of those things you just have to do at least once in your life! Craig was super welcoming from the start and really made the whole experience feel special. What stood out the most was how knowledgeable he is and he shared so much fascinating history about the biplane that made the ride even more meaningful. Flying in an open cockpit? There's nothing else like it. The feeling is hard to even put into words. If you're even slightly thinking about doing this, don't hesitate, just book it. You won't regret it!

5.00Worldclass once in a lifetime informative incredible breathtaking first time experience. Craig is a rock solid top notch pilot, plane restoration master and a patient teacher of his craft. I consider myself super lucky to have my ride today on his Stearman biplane. It is an absolutely beautiful plane and loads of fun from take off to landing. I highly recommend that you book a flight with him! Best decision I ever made.
