Parasailing is a water sport in which a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a parachute-like canopy. The parasail is suspended from a harness that is attached to the boat, and as the boat moves, the parasailer is lifted into the air and glides through the sky.

Parasailing in the Straits Area, you can see views of the famous Mackinac Bridge, see Mackinac Island from a distance and a birds eye view of the beautiful Lake Huron.

To participate in parasailing, you do not need any special skills or training. The activity is typically supervised by trained staff who will provide you with all the necessary equipment and instruction.

Is there weight restrictions? Yes, must be at least 125lbs and combined weight for flying tandem, no more than 450lbs. Wind and water conditions may allow for changes to these per the captain.

What To Expect

Parasailing is an exciting watersport for all ages. Come view the "Straits of Mackinac" from a new perspective. Our custom boats enables the single or double parasailers to take off and land directly from the flight deck, making for a smooth, safe, and dry parasail flight. Each flight lasts from 10 to 12 minutes.

The parasailing adventure was the absolute best out of my week-long visit to Mackinac City. The two men running the event were super friendly, helpful, and made us all feel safe and secure. Being up in the air was so peaceful and quiet. I think I was up in the air for about 15 minutes. It was truly an incredible experience. If you get a chance to go parasailing, these guys are who you want!

The staff were all very helpful and informative from booking and through the tour. We planned a 9am tour, however the weather was not cooperating yet the staff continued to keep us updated until we were able to go out. Very great experience and we will going again in the future.
So much fun, much safer than in foreign countries.

I booked a trip in Sept 2025. Weather is a big factor, and in September you never know.. So, the parasailing was postponed couple of times due to winds, and thick fog.. I was almost giving up, as I was gonna be leaving the area.. and! We finally made it!! The boys found a window to fulfill my urge to fly up to 600ft, as I have never done this before. If that was a bright sunny day, this experience would've been epic!! However, I have a reason to come back and earn another Flight Certificate as the Mackinaw Parasailer!! Loved the experience, and will do it again as soon as I can!! Highly recommend you do too!!

This was a great experience! Captain Joe and his dad were easygoing and were fun to converse with. They did a good job explaining safety procedures. Most importantly, though, parasailing was super fun. They made sure we had ample time up in the air and could get great views of Lake Huron and Mackinaw City. I'd highly recommend!

Safety first. Awesome experience. My 10 year old grandson and 12 year old granddaughter had the time of their lives. Everybody needs to experience this at least once. The cost is worth it!

Such an amazing experience! Brought my 7yr old daughter and they sang her happy birthday and name her feel very comfortable. She had a great experience!
