Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site. We also offer scuba diving on our trips.
In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

What To Expect
Discover some of the most beautiful reefs in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park, part of the world’s third-largest living reef system and the only living coral reef in the U.S. This guided experience includes two snorkel locations in protected areas where you may encounter turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, Dolphins, sharks and various fish species. *Please note: Specific sites are not guaranteed, and full-face masks are not permitted. In unsafe weather conditions , your adventure will shift to a unique mangrove snorkel, showcasing a vibrant and lush ecosystem. Boat riders are welcome to join for a scenic ride, soaking up sun on the deck or enjoying the water to snorkel and explore the reefs. Important: All minors must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. If parents are not present, please complete this in advance, as friends and family cannot legally sign. We observe a 24-hour cancellation policy, Failure to call or no show, will result in you having to pay again to attend, and no refund or rescheduled trip will be offered. If unsatisfied with your trip, please see management after disembarking for assistance.

5.00We took the 8:30 tour after reading that conditions are best earlier in the day. Captain Brad and Joe worked hard to ensure we had a good time. They are obviously knowledgeable about the area and keen to make sure both the reef and their guests were kept safe. We stopped at two points and were out for about an hour at each one. The sea life was plentiful and varied, particularly at the first stop. We were lucky enough to see an eagle ray glide underneath us. A great way to spend a morning and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

5.00The captain and co captain were so fun and friendly! Did not see as many fish as other snorkeling trips that are more south of key largo. But staff was great and the boat ride was fun !

5.00This was Awesome! If you are a beginner, rusty and a little bit worried or fearful of the unknown, this is for you. The hosts were kind, patient, and truly enjoy their job. My 18 yr old daughter didn’t get in but she took a nice boat ride. If you can bring an underwater camera. Since I was inexperienced, it was a bit to get my phone out in the waterproof pouch.

5.00The Pirates Cove Watersports dive shop and excursions are wonderful! A great crew! My wife and I had a blast. My wife took an all-day refresher diving course with Gabby who was simply wonderful. The crew on board, including Captain Katy and Liber, were experts! These guys are pros, and we had a wonderful time. We will be back! P.S. Book a room right there at the Reefhouse Resort and Marina. A great resort, and the Pirates Cove dive shop is smack dab in the middle of the property. Can't be any easier than that!
