Our cooler water bioluminescent experience is the Bioluminescent Comb-Jellyfish. These jellyfish light up blue when they are disturbed, creating a surreal and magical effect in the water. In the summer, dinoflagellates are present, which are single-celled, planktonic organisms. They naturally produce light so when the water is disturbed in which they are in a bright blue-green light glows. When you kayak through the sparkling water, you’ll feel like you are in another world. Florida-Adventurer’s Bioluminescence Kayaking Tour is locally owned and operated. We know the best spots in Merritt Island Nature Reserve. Our certified tour guides are knowledgeable about the area and they will share interesting facts about the bioluminescence and other wildlife we’re sure you’ll meet along the way. 5.00It was just my mom and I on the tour and we had Javier who was wonderful! He was so sweet and funny. It was a full moon so the glowing wasn't as vibrant but it was still amazing to see! A few manatees swam near us and a shrimp jumped into our kayak! Such a cool experience and we loved it!

Javier and Hope weren’t only experienced and knowledgeable but also fun and made it exciting and enjoyable especially for our groups being first time kayakers. Our High school seniors graduates had fun in spite of the mosquitoes. lol advice to potential kayakers TAKE LOTS OF BUG SPRAY! And anti itch cream for the following day.

5.00We had so much fun! So so glad we came prepared- heavy duty bug spray to keep the swarming mosquitos away- it worked and we were fine. There are even portable potty’s at the launch area so we girls were fine.

3.00There was only one guide for 9 people of which 6 had never been in a kayak. The active water way was seriously scary. A large travelling barge and shrimp boats everywhere. Lots of downed trees that could not be seen in the dark. These factors made it very uneasy. The other company had 5 guides with there group. Freedom made the best of what she had.

2.00Pictures on the website are completely deceiving. This is merely a nighttime kayak tour. The only bioluminescence we saw were the jellyfish he put in a jar for people to look at. Very disappointing. The guide was awesome though and very knowledgeable.

1.00I was very disappointed when my Bioluminescence Kayak Tour was canceled on the same day due to high winds/weather. I do appreciate the safety concern but why should I have to still pay? I was not given an option but to accept a rain check. I was in the area for only two nights and neither night offered acceptable weather conditions. It seems pointless for me to travel, book a hotel plus expenses again in order to do the bioluminescent tour. Buyers beware.

5.00Our tour guides were Terrence and Javier. They were excellent! Very informative and personable. We didn’t have to bring our cameras as they took pictures and videos of us for us. 5.00Must see near Orlando! Bioluminescence Kayaking at night under a clear sky with an abundance of stars. It is in the middle of a preserve on the Indian River! Brian, our guide, was fun, friendly and full of knowledge. We saw lots of comb jellies and some phytoplankton. We had a view of the Kennedy space Center with Artimus ready for launch! It was so quiet and peaceful! We heard drum fish and saw night herron! No gators(thank you very much) If you have never done this, you definitely need to put it on your bucket list.
