Vanessa knowledge was excellent and this rating isn’t a reflection on her…that said our 5 hr Pearl Harbor tour consisted of 2 hrs and 40 minutes. Was totally rushed at a place where you shouldn’t be. We arrived at 8:40 and told to view Arizona memorial video prior to or after our 9:30 boat ride to the memorial site. The video runs (video length is 23 minutes) on the 1/4 past the hour and 1/4 to the hour. Because of Our arrival time we missed the 8:45 and couldn’t do the 9:15 as would have missed the boat ride to memorial site. On arriving back from memorial site we ran to watch the 10:15 before we departed at 11am. Some others on our tour missed the video showing completely. So hugely disappointing tour based on this for us.

We had a great time going to Pearl Harbor and touring the city sights. Our guide Vanessa was awesome. Very personable and knowledgeable about the area and sights. Transportation was easy and nice big van that fit 13 people easily. I highly recommended her for future guides.

Vanessa was our guide for our trip to Pearl Harbor. She was very knowledgeable, engaging, and had tickets ready to go when we got there. Remember to read the bag policy before going.

Going a little later in the day allows you to avoid the crowds. But it is a little hot in June, so if you are heat averse, then go in the morning. The tour guide, Vanessa, was amazing! She not only provided interesting facts along the way, but some great humor to pair it with. Bring cash, because we didn’t and we’re not able to tip like she deserved. One thing that appeared to be acceptable was a clear bag. But any other bags must comply with the guidelines provided.

This was a nice way to experience U.S.S. Arizona Memorial if you missed the National Park ticket window. The tour of downtown was also a nice look outside of the main touristy areas. Overall the experience was enjoyable, but our guide was a bit of a Debbie downer. There was quite a few comments about people dying in various parts of the tour (e.g. these speed bumps were added after a little kid was hit by a car on the way to school, and we, as drivers, are extra cautious after a tour bus hit and killed 12 people).
