Join us on a fun-filled and informative electric bike tour of Asheville! Approximately 3-hours long, this e-bike tour is the perfect way to experience the city’s charm and learn about its fascinating history. You’ll see Asheville’s noteworthy architectural gems, take in the stunning scenery from carefully chosen viewpoints, and hear the stories behind Asheville’s best historical sites.
The electric pedal assist and throttles on our e-bikes allow you to easily ride up Asheville’s steep hills! Your expert guide will lead you safely through city streets, bike greenways, and quiet, picturesque neighborhood roads. There is no better way to experience how Asheville has changed in recent years, what makes it so special today, and what’s in store for the years ahead than joining the Flying Bike on our award-winning Downtown Asheville E-bike Tour.

The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.

5.00Did this trip for a second time with this company and they’re as good as they were before. The experience itself is wonderful and nearly effortless. The guides are fun, personable, knowledgeable and conscientious about safety. I’m local and if guests come into town I’ll suggest this trip and go along, enjoying the ride.

5.00This Ebike Tour is wonderful! Having never been on ebikes before we were a bit nervous. The team was wonderful. Our guide was Josh. I can't begin to tell you haw amazing he is. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable of the area. THey supply you with everything you need, just bring water. I woud recommend this tour for anyone.

5.00Our tour experience turned out to be 'private' as we were the only 3 people booked at that day/time! Our guide, Josh was very entertaining before our ride (he juggled for us!) and quite knowledgeable during our stops along the way. We had a great time riding approximately 12 miles through downtown Asheville and through beautiful neighborhoods nearby. The only slightly negative note would be that if you are trying to ride an ebike for the first time, the quick 'training' in the parking lot before the ride was somewhat quick and limited. Josh was very patient with us even so!

5.00Torin led our group tour yesterday and it was SUCH a wonderful experience. Torin led with heart and shared both historical stories and personal experiences surviving and rebuilding from Helene. I left feeling like I’d made a friend and learned so much about Asheville. Extensive time was spent on teaching the group how to use the bikes and on bike safety. Torin was careful to keep track of our large group to ensure nobody got separated. Highly recommend signing up for a tour when you’re in Asheville! Would gladly support this business again!
