This would have been a 5 if I’d felt safer on the camel, but wow what an experience, sleeping under the stars in the Thar Desert is something I’ll never forget, amazing.

Our camel safari with Trotten Tour in Jaisalmer was one of the most unforgettable experiences of our trip to India, and a huge part of that was thanks to Sagan, who made everything so special from beginning to end! From the moment he picked up us from the our hotel, we felt incredibly welcomed. Riding camels through the dunes was very magical, especially during sunset and sunrise. They also performed for us traditional Rajasthan music and dance which created such an amazing atmosphere and made the experience even more authentic. Sleeping under the stars in the middle of the desert it made us feel very connected with nature, it was truly magica. The sky was full of stars, the silence was incredible. We also had a delicious freshly made dinner, wonderful breakfast, and hot chai in the morning. The dinner was especially delicious. On the way we also visited some rural villages and gave us a chance to experience local life. Thank you again to Sagan and the camel riders for made for us such an incredible adventure. We would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jaisalmer. 5 stars experience!

Fantastic experience. We had a great time with Chagan and Fusa. We drove around the area saw some beautiful ruins and then had about an hour Camel ride. Then we had some dinner by the campfire listening to Fusa sing and slept under the stars. Great experience would highly recommend.

We did an overnight camel safari with Trotters and it was a magical experience! Starting from the jeep ride, with some stops into the desert, to the actual camel riding and the snacks they prepared for us at sunset with a wonderful chai :) Then, they made us a delicious dinner on the fire, with fresh vegetables they took along. We ate around the fire and enjoyed their amazing music. The night on the sand, in the open space was incredible, with enough blankets for us to stay warm, even if the temperature was quite cold. The sunrise was really beautiful as well, and we had a great start of the day with breakfast, and camel riding, before heading back to Jaisalmer.

This desert safari was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our driver was extremely friendly and professional, and the camel guides were very experienced. They know the desert inside out and have great knowledge of the local animals as well. We set up camp in stunning, beautiful dunes, which felt truly magical. In the evening, they cooked us a delicious dinner using fresh products that had just been bought from the local market. We sat around a campfire, and they entertained us with songs and stories, creating such a special atmosphere. Finally, we fell asleep in silence under the stars and woke up the next morning with sunrise, before we returned to the starting point, again on back of the camel. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

This was a truly incredible experience. Every part of it was interesting, magical, and full of adventure. The process ran smoothly and everything was clear and well communicated. Both the jeep driver and all the camel guides were incredibly kind, joyous, and helpful. Spending the night in the dunes was exceptional, we had a bright moon which meant fewer visible stars but sitting at the fire and then in our warm beds looking up was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this experience for anyone looking to truly experience the desert. Amazing!!

Camel Safari in January 2026. The start of the tour is in their offices just outside Jaisalmer Fort, very convenient. We were escorted to the Jeep parking lot where the actual tour began. The driver (unfortunately I can't remember the name) could speak very well in English, making everything easier. On the way we stopped at a couple of tourist spots and for a chai at our driver's sister's house, in a typical village in the middle of the desert. From there we continued to the point where the camel driver awaited us. We joined another couple continuing with the camel as our luggage was taken to the final point (in the dunes) by Jeep. Arrived at the arrival point they immediately prepared a chai and a snack, while they cooked dinner. We enjoyed the sunset and the next thing we knew, we were called because the fire and the food were ready. After dinner they made us beds. Comfortable enough (we didn't expect anything better from an open-air night) but especially warm enough not to suffer the cold during the night. It was January so the temperature fluctuation from day to night is really remarkable. In the morning we woke up and admired the sunrise while breakfast was being prepared, and after breakfast we left with camels. We drove back to town in a Jeep, stopping for one last chai stop at our driver's house. The kindness and helpfulness 'of all and 'really the strong point of this Tuor, I can only recommend it.

Truly a wonderful experience! We really wanted to do this overnight camel safari and it was as good as we dreamed of. The camels were fantastic and our guides took really good care of us, even getting a birthday cake for me as it was my birthday! It was such a sweet surprise to get it by the campfire after a night of music and laughters. We also had a good night sleep under the cosy warm blankets (they’re really thick).

We did Overnight Camel Desert Safari with Trotters. The experience of camel rides, sleeping in open desert and star gazing was an offbeat and a memorable experience. The dessert atmosphere was surreal. The Trotters team was very helpful with booking process and understanding our needs since we were travelling with a 3 year old kid. They ensured that all help was provided to us. A separate camping tent was provided for the kid. The camp team also prepared a non-spicy meal and arranged milk for the kid. Our guide cum driver (Mr. Chhagan) was very friendly and very helpful to make us feel safe and comfortable. He showed us the Oasis and arranged for village house visit. We were also accompanied by a family with kids from Netherlands and a solo traveller from Japan. It was nice knowing them and their culture. The small group size provided privacy and avoid chaos at other touristy sand dunes. A heartful thanks to Trotters team, camp team and camel guides for the support.
