This tour is private and fully customizable - hike as much or as little as you want in the time we have. If you would prefer more of a driving tour to spectacular lookouts instead, we can do that.
Accessible only by foot, our 6 - 7 hour Waimea Canyon & Nāpali Cliff Top Hike is designed to give you amazing views thousands of feet above the ocean! While these hikes can be muddy, you will be amply rewarded for your effort with sweeping views of Waimea Canyon and the most dramatic middle sections of the famous 17-mile-long Nāpali Coast – from unique vantage points that can only be accessed from the cliff top ridges of Kōkeʻe State Park.
Our mission -"sharing Kauaʻi’s beauty with aloha”- was forged in love and respect for this island’s abundant mana (life energy). Our local guides take you to some of their favorite spots, the places they enjoy exploring in their free time. We hope to inspire understanding, respect, and reverence for these sacred, often fragile, environments.

Waimea Canyon State Park
Driving east to west, you’ll witness a change in vegetation and climate as you transition into the “rain shadow,” characterized by the arid farmland of the island’s leeward side (on the opposite side of mountains from typical trade wind direction). Along the way, we’ll pass through the agricultural towns of Hanapēpē and Waimea and learn the important role they played in Kauaʻi’s history. Your tour continues across the center of the island, winding along the rim of Waimea Canyon and to the North Shore, 4,000 feet (1,220 m) above the spectacular Nāpali Coast. Rainbow-colored canyon walls and cool mountain air create an otherworldly ambiance that’s unlike anything you’ve experienced. We will stop at a couple of the choicest Waimea Canyon overlooks, including one with a view of 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, before beginning our ridge hike from one of the trailheads in Kōkeʻe State Park or Waimea Canyon SP (depending on your private group and local conditions).

Amazing experience on all counts! We did several majestic hikes on the West part of the Island in just a few hours. Jeremiah, our guide, was tremendous. The ages ranged from 4 to 75 and he adapted all our hikes accordingly.

Wow, just wow! 🤩 This hike was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Our guide Jeremiah deserves all the praise, he was fun, so knowledgeable, and endlessly patient. By the end of the day we didn’t just feel guided, we felt like we’d made a new best friend. Can’t wait for round two with this company! I promise this is something you need to do while here ♥️

“Hidden gems” is a misnomer - we had an expectation of actually seeing some hidden gems on the island. We told the outfitter that we wanted variety with a little hiking. Our guide was fully prepared to hike Waimea Canyon. When we asked about the waterfalls and turtles we expected to see he advised those are on another part of the island and we would be proceeding with the canyon. You would think for 6-7 hours we’d be able to see a few key spots of the canyon and then travel to another area to see the waterfalls, that our guide was happy to tell us how we could get there on our own. We paid good money for some canyon views we could have seen on our own. Save your money.

I would highly recommend taking a private tour. Fully customizable to your groups fitness level and wants. Our guide “Flip” was very knowledgeable about the terrain and flora, shared a lot of stories and Polynesian history and showed us some AMAZING views. He was patient, passionate, very entertaining and took tons of pics for us. The canyon is as breath-taking as the coastline. Don’t miss either if you visit.

Jeremiah is an excellent tour leader who took us to beautiful spots in the Waimea Canyon. He was very knowledgeable about the area and, in particular, about the plants and trees that grow there. It was an enjoyable and memorable experience.

The whole experience was amazing ... from booking the tour, to confirmation a couple of days before, to the tour guide Brook. Brook met us on time and right where we agreed. He was incredibly knowledgable regarding the island and the best places to view the incredible scenery. He provided his insights about the islands, its flora, its people, its history, its economy. He let us modify the tour a little, taking us to a location that had special interest for us. And finally, he made the return to the ship very easy by dropping us off at the pier.
