Our 7-day Lemosho Route trek on Kilimanjaro exceeded all expectations. Traveling with a group of close friends made the experience even more enjoyable, as we encouraged each other through the tough parts and celebrated each milestone together. The trail itself is incredibly scenic and offers a nice balance between challenge and adaptation. Barranco Camp was without a doubt my favorite stop during the trek. The place is spectacular, I think it is one of the most unique campsites I have ever stayed at. The atmosphere was great, and everyone was really excited about the next day’s climb up Barranco Wall. Although summit night was the toughest challenge of the trip, it was also the most rewarding. Herbivore African Expeditions was a great organized our 7 day with safety. We gladly recommend them.

Our 8 day challenging climbing Kilimanjaro via Lemosho Route was a great achievement for us. We started with our 3 guides and 12 porters. The eight days gave us plenty of time to acclimatize to the altitude and we never had to rush, which made a big difference and HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS team played a huge role in making our trip easy and successful. The guides were not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely caring - they constantly checked on us and made sure we were eating and drinking properly. We were very satisfied and a big appreciation of all the guides and porters. The crew was exceptional. From the guides to the porters, everyone tried making the journey smooth and enjoyable. Meals were surprisingly good, especially considering the altitude. We were always well-fed and energized. Summit night tested us mentally and physically, but the encouragement we received made all the difference.

The Lemosho Route gave our 8-day Kilimanjaro climb a sense of adventure from the very start. We began in thick, green rainforest, encountering the vibrant wildlife of the lower slopes, and gradually moved into moorlands dotted with giant heathers. The high alpine desert tested our strength, but our incredible guides ( Lucas & Clinton ) and porters were always there to lift motivation and keep us moving. We were grateful for the HERBIVORE team management, their kinds behavior, and the friendship that made every step of the journey perfect. When reached the summit we were very emotional and so excited, celebrating small victories, and reflecting on the beauty surrounding us. We returned physically tired but emotionally enriched, carrying memories of a mountain that challenged us, inspired us, and reminded us of the power of unity and perseverance.
