A GROUP of attendees are given the opportunity for a unique experience into the life of a Raptor with an up close and personal encounter with Hawks, Falcons and Owls.
With the assistance of a licensed Falconer, you will learn the biology, conservation, field identification, traits, behaviors, natural history, and the importance of raptors.
Following a brief instruction guests will be fitted with a gauntlet and join a trained Hawk on a short walk – witness the agility and skill as she flies from perch to perch while swooping back to the Falconer’s gauntlet.

What To Expect
Learn about the biology of Raptors, conservation, field identification, traits, behaviors, natural history, and about the ancient sport of Falconry Groups of six or less are given an opportunity to interacting with a Hawk, Falcon and Owl in addition to witnessing the agility and skill of a Hawk in flight and landing on a Falconer's gauntlet. Federal regulations require participants to be over the age of 14 to hold the Raptors on the gauntlet Join Us and Feel the Thrill ~

5.00What an AMAZING experience!! I’ve always wanted to see an owl up close and personal and I was able to do that and more! I enjoyed learning about falcons, owls, and hawks. Seeing Zulu, the hawk, in action was a real treat! Louise is so beautiful and was my favorite bird there. Kathleen was an outstanding host. She provided snacks, water, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer for your convenience and she was so helpful and kind. She answered all of our questions, and even offered to take me back to town when I couldn’t get an Uber or Lyft. Definitely book this experience, you will not be disappointed. Tip - Internet is spotty near the gazebo and if you are using ride share, I would suggest arranging pre pickup because you might not be able to get a driver to come pick you up.

5.00The Raptor Adventures is hands down the best wildlife adventure I've ever been to. I've been out to sea in Hawaii to swim with dolphins, and bathed elephants in Thailand. The Raptors were such a joy to see and learn about. The woman who runs the program is absolutely amazing! It's out in the desert on a mountain and under a gazebo. We got to enjoy four different birds. An eight week old Owl, a Eurasian Owl, a Saker Falcon, and a Harris's Hawk. There are specialized leather gloves that you wear for the birds to perch on and fly on and off. If you've ever dreamed about falconry - this is your bucket list moment. All the birds were so beautiful and well cared for. This is a quality company that really understands animals and their needs. The gazebo area is very nicely decorated with seating, snacks, coffee, and water. We were so impressed and cannot recommend this experience enough. She only does two groups a day. It's an experience I will cherish for my whole life.

The falconer was knowledgeable and interesting and answered every question we had. Didn’t feel rushed. Great pics with the feathered friends. Highly recommend!!!

5.00We had a chance to spend time observing, touching, and holding owls, a falcon, and a hawk. These are all creatures that we see at home, but only from a distance and for fleeting moments. To stand there, eye to eye, really lets you appreciate how stunning they are.

5.00Ms. Kathleen was amazing! My wife made reservations in advance and we were easily able to find the location from their messages. The location was very clean and well maintained. They offered us snacks, coffee, hot water (it was windy and cold), and bottle water. Everything that we were going to do for our tour was thoroughly explained to us. We were briefed on safety precautions. The experience was so wonderful. We all learned a lot because Ms. Kathleen was so knowledgeable. All of our questions were answered. Would highly recommend as a must do when in the Reno or Tahoe area. Can't thank Ms. Kathleen enough for a enriching experience.

5.00We loved handling the birds, learning about them and watching them fly from person to person in our family as we walked. Only 6 people at a time, so a very personal experience! The guide was so knowledgeable and patient. We learned so much more about them and could ask ALL the questions! A definite step up from the traditional Renaissance Festival experience of just watching a presentation. I highly recommend! Once in a lifetime experience!
