Manek Chowk
Start with a sizzling Butter Dosa, its crisp golden edges giving way to a soft, spiced potato filling—together with tangy chutney and coconut sambhar. Savor the quirky Chocolate Sandwich—bread and butter, toasty with molten chocolate and nuts sprinkled on top—an unexpected treat in the midst of an animated marketplace. Crumbled khaman, a hallmark of the Gujarati snack repertoire, is a spiced jig with mustard seed and topped with a generous shower of sev, pomegranate, coriander, and a squeeze of lemon. It is light and tangy and poofy for an in-between snack. Sweet or spicy not to mention, fried or otherwise, is on the agenda.
Kulfi, frozen rich milk infused with saffron and pistachios for a regal treat on a stick. The kulfi here is dense, creamy, and fragrant and wonderful for quickly savoring on a the go, and for decades, claim to have the best in town. Kulfi is a heritage on a straw. Masala khakhra are roasted thin wheat crisps, infused with dry spices, served fresh off the tawa. Pair with homemade chutneys for an addictive crunch. It is also a great spot for edible souvenirs to take home—methi, jeera, and even pizza-flavoured khakhras! Like a local end your stroll with jalebi spirals. Drenched in saffron sugar syrup, these childhood mementos are a marvellous treat served with a cup of masala chai at a heritage food joint.

Fantastic experience walking through the old city and learning about the various foods and their unique origins and importance to this amazing culture. This was the second tour I've taken with Murtaza and I highly recommend him.

Very good trip. A guide who asked me what I wanted to experience and where I wanted to eat. Come with a desire to see as much local as possible, but eat in a slightly better place. This was fulfilled. Both saw the local in a good way and ate good food. Became a lot of walking, but was to my wishes. All in all very good trip

I was in GIFT city on work and had an evening free. I signed up for the ahmedabad food walk. It was a lovely experience. Anant was a charming guide who helped us savor the best of the local food varieties. It was the best day of my India visit.
