Not a gimmicky phone app guided tour, this is a hosted event. You’ll compete against other teams scattered throughout the area, each leading their own separate investigation. The team that reveals the murderer, needing the least help from headquarters, and is the fastest wins!

What To Expect
Designed to be engaging & entertaining for adults! An incredibly fun & unique competition where you'll prove if your detective skills are good enough to solve a murder. Each team is given a list of suspects along with a packet of tricky clues, twisted riddles and mind-bending puzzles. All on foot, your logic-based clues will systematically lead you to explore Newport Beach, including The Fun Zone, The Balboa Pier, Peninsula Park, the Ferry to Balboa Island and back, and more. Using your wits and some creativity, each location will reveal another piece of your investigation, and you'll eliminate innocent suspects until you've discovered... WhoDunIt? Your team will compete against other teams scattered throughout the area, each leading their own separate investigation. The team that reveals the murderer needing the least help from headquarters & is the fastest wins! This is NOT a Phone App. This is an event with a host and other teams. Bring a cell phone to call the helpline in case you get stumped, but a smart phone is not needed, and will not help you. No need to be familiar with the area or have any specialized knowledge to win. Great fun for both locals and tourists.

5.00These scavenger hunts are SO one-of-a-kind and have just the right amount of challenge (they're tough and mind-stretching for sure, but not impossible to solve). Each of the locations are so unique, so even after you've done one, you will have a completely different experience at another location. It's one of my goals to hit up every location the mastermind and creative genius, Alex, has designed, and I'm well on my way with only one location left. In my opinion, these hunts are way more fun than an escape room because (1) they're longer — 3-4 hours vs. 1-hour escape rooms — thus more bang for your buck; (2) they involve walking around beautiful beach cities so you get exercise while enjoying the sun, fresh air, and creation; (3) they allow you to observe and appreciate art, monuments, and plaques you would normally otherwise overlook and walk right past; (4) they're designed so as you're walking between places, you can also chit chat with your teammates; and (5) they provide live competition against all the other teams and therefore fun motivation to work quickly and efficiently. I participated in my first Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt back in 2015, and I can confidently say that even after running these events for so many years, Alex is still just as passionate, invested, responsive, and funny. I cannot recommend these scavenger hunts enough!

5.00That was a lot of fun! We did the activity as a family and with friends and it was a fun experience. It was fun to be able to explore Newport Beach doing a fun activity that really made us use our logic and critical thinking skills. It also helped us to realize how important it is to work as a team. Alex was very helpful whenever we needed some help with figuring out the clues. Don't be afraid to call for help. =)

5.00This activity was engaging, quick thinking and just overall fun. Highly recommend doing this with a group. Alex was informative and our group especially enjoyed the helpline. I’ve been doing teambuilding activities for over 30 years and I would put this event in our top five.
