The unspoken feel of beauty and serenity together meet at a forest locked village called Anakulam. This place of aesthetic value is nearly 43 km away from Munnar, the paradise of Gods’ own country. Elephants dally here in large social groups in human inhabited areas, which is something unique about this scenic spot. Accessibility depends on jeep service. Everyone can enjoy elephant herds within a distance of 50 meters. The herd strength includes young calf and the mighty tuskers. A nice walk through the forest and a cool bath in the Idacholayaar freshen one’s mind. Anakulam is an amphitheater surrounded by Reserve forests. It has high uniqueness due to geographical, climatic, and cultural richness.

Great experience! You can experience the tea plantation life of local workers, see beautiful waterfalls and swim in at least one of them. Lunch is in a very nice hotel/restaurant in the jungle. Finally, if you’re lucky you can see the elephant(s) in the wild taking a bath. We were lucky enough and loved the experience
