Relaxing raft tour on the river. Great opportunities to take pictures and get out for 15 min to hang out by the rocks and dip your toes if wanted.

My experience was incredible. Our guide was very friendly and brought us countless curiosities and recommendations about the place. The climate was good and it was a quiet walk. I recommend it to everyone and would definitely return.

The town of Canmore is less than an hour’s drive from Calgary, Alberta. This quaint little town nestled between the majestic peaks of the Canadian Rockies is one of my favourite destinations for a hike. Till the mid-eighties, Canmore was a sleepy town where nothing much was happening. This former mining town captured world attention when Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park was developed to host the cross-country ski events of the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. It is one of the few operational Olympic Nordic Skiing venues in the world, and athletes from all over the world come here during the winter months to train in skiing and other winter sports. Now the city is a very popular tourist attraction with it’s Main Street lined with small shops, restaurants and galleries. The town is surrounded by several beautiful lakes, with a series of hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, and paved trails traversing the surrounding area. The Bow River snakes through the edge of the town.

Emma did a fantastic job explaining the history and showing the wildlife, the tour is the perfect length - not too long or short. We had a great time!
