Torre di Porta Terra
The Tower was built in the 14th century, precisely in the medieval period, as part of the defensive walls of the city of Alghero. This is the only remaining part of the city walls on the land side, which were completely demolished after 1867. A good way to start our exploration
Chiesa di San Francesco
The church of San Francesco is one of the most significant examples of Gothic-Catalan architecture in Sardinia. Built by the Conventual Friars Minor at the end of the 15th century, the church stands on the site of a small chapel preceded by a vegetable garden. The building is part of a complex that also includes the convent, the cloister and the bell tower. Let's discover it's story!

Nice tour through Alghero with good information about the places visited.

Avoid this walking audio tour if you can! It is difficult to start and then cumbersome to use. You have to keep scrolling back and forth between the map and the individual sections. The map doesn’t show your location and the descriptions are not particularly interesting and engaging.

Excellent guide, being able to go at our own pace was great but we couldn’t download one of the guides onto a Samsung phone, the one on the iPhone worked well though so we had to share a pair of ear pods. It would have been good to be able to swap back and forth to the map, but that just may be me not being tech savvy enough 😆

There's pictures, maps, written and oral information so you really can personalise the tour but I couldn't get the hang of using the map to seamlessly guide me from one point of interest to the next. So I was toggling between the guide and Google maps which was a pain. Otherwise good.

Positives: The maps overlay is nice, so you always know where to go. The route on the Seebären is well organized. You when to listen to which part. The Author is very enthusiastic in the audio files. Cons: The tour is kind of boring. The information is very generic. It feels like it was constructed by AI. I would suggest a in person guided tour if you can get one.

We loved learning about the history of Alghero with the walking guide. It was thorough and easy to use. The food recommendations were helpful too.

The information about each stop was terrific but moving between the audio guide and google maps was very difficult and frustrating. Perhaps we weren’t aware that there was a better way

High temperature inappropriate for a walking tour.Thecologically cumbersome, an itinerary that I can print in advance and access to texts that I can also print would have been enough for more flexibility.

It's a hoax. The guide didn't show up after waiting an hour and didn't pick up messages or phone witnesses.

Great way to spend a day and get your bearings in a new city! Only downfall was its heavily reliant on having internet and in several places o lost connection completely most likely due to the old medieval walls of the city. Really easy to use and great information too! Loved being able to stop and take a break from the heat as needed or spread out over a day or two! Would highly recommend!!
