Our program is only two hours on-site to complete the Discover Scuba Diving session which is a prerequisite to participating in the Discover Scuba Diving Reef Excursion. Our dive center is located at the Bayside Inn Key Largo which makes hotel accommodations and diving easy since we're at the same location. We use the pool and beach here to begin your training, then progress to the dive boat for optional open water dives.

Participants must complete a medical questionnaire. If any positive medical limitations the participant must have a doctor's approval to participate.
What To Expect
This is the prerequisite pool training session only of the Discover Scuba Reef Diving Adventure. After check-in you will complete a short pool-side briefing session with your instructor who will introduce you to some of the skills you will practice. Once in the pool with your gear you'll have a fun experience learning how to safely breathe and swim underwater with scuba gear. Successful completion of this pool session will qualify you to participate on our dive boat for an exciting Discover Scuba Reef Diving Adventure which is a separate activity and not-included as part of this activity.

5.00At first we thought we wouldn't have time to do this due to short trip and rough seas, but the team at KLDC was able to get us in last minute and was very accommodating! We had a wonderful time with Terry, he is a kind and funny guy, but also an exceptional teacher. Me and my fiancé were able to go at our own pace, and completed our certification with KLDC at Jules' Lagoon due to the rough seas. Very fair pricing and a wonderful experience not just for this trip, but that will enhance our future adventures! If you are on the fence, I highly recommend you give it a try, you'd be surprised how much fun it is, and how fast you can learn Scuba.

5.00Terry was our instructor. He was nice, thorough, and explained everything very well. He was patient in answering all of our questions. One of us was very hesitant about diving…. But he did such a great job that we are both now very excited to come back for the dive! Unfortunately, weather wasn’t favorable for us to go out for the actual dives, but he felt bad and took us into the ocean just behind the hotel. We can’t wait to come back for the dive portion! We did, however, appreciate the commitment to safety in canceling the boat portion. Thank you, Terry, and Key Largo Dive Center. We would definitely recommend!

5.00I was very comfortable with my instructor. He made the information clear, applicable and concise. Showed me and answered questions without thinking or telling me I did something wrong but let me have the experience for myself. I learned a lot and enjoyed the process. At 69 years of age I realized you are never too old to achieve a goal with the right people and an old dog can learn new tricks.
