Experience the thrill of inflatable kayaking on Durango’s Lower Animas River! This half day trip lasts 3 hours and 45 minutes round trip, with 2 hours and 15 minutes on the water. Navigate exciting Class II rapids and one exhilarating Class III rapid, including “Smelter,” “Santa Rita,” and “Sawmill,” with calmer stretches for scenery and relaxation. Lower water flows in late summer make the rapids even more exciting. No experience is needed— the expert guides will provide gear, instruction, and local insights.

What To Expect
You will Kayak through the town of Durango on the beautiful Lower Animas River for 2 hours and 15 Minutes. The stretch of river encompass a few class II rapids with one class III rapid.

5.00Such a fun day! We had Peyton as our guide and he was awesome! We had littles on our raft and it was still a breeze, shared tons of facts about Durango which made it even more entertaining! There was 10 of us plus Peyton and it was still perfect. Trip was about 4 hours but felt like maybe 2! Such a fun thing to do with even lots of family! Thank you Peyton!!
My family and I had a great time. Sammy was a wonderful guide. She made it easy to ride the waves of the river.

5.00Had a great time on the river with Mild-to-Wild. They are very experienced and have responsible, skilled guides who take it seriously, but with a bit if whimsical humor. We are not experienced rafters and M2M has experiences for all levels. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a group of 10 (2 rafts), guided by Zuzu and Nathaniel. Nathaniel had an impressive CV with great stories to boot. Zuzu suggested taking a “kid boat” and provided a safe, fun, and team building adventure complete with paddle high fives. Great experience overall!
