3 Hour Paddle
We begin our 3 hour paddle of the West Thumb Geyser basin at 8:30 AM. We will traverse 3 miles of wilderness with the opportunity to view active geyser features along the way. Paddling along the shoreline allows for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Elk are often spotted in Grant Village and sometimes other mammals such as bears and wolves frequent the lake area. A variety of bird species are spotted daily and the water is clear enough to see the native Cutthroat Trout as big as your arm if you're lucky enough. ;) The fish can get quite large in Yellowstone Lake.

Join us today for a fun filled educational experience as you paddle the shores of Yellowstone Lake, North Americas Largest High Alpine Lake! You will traverse 3 miles of wilderness in a sea kayak with experienced friendly guides with the opportunity to view active geyser features from the unique perspective of being on the water. Very few places in the world can you access such incredible scenery with such ease! While others are limited to viewing these unique features from the boardwalk we will be away from the crowds in our own kayaks, viewing Geysers, Hot Springs, and Underwater Vents that percolate to the surface of the lake. The West Thumb area of Yellowstone Lake is where you will find hundreds of Geo Thermal features that you will not find anywhere else. Our Early morning 3 hour Tours are perfect for families of all ages and abilities. Hit the park early with our AM tours and have the rest of the day to view the rest of the park. Morning 6mile Kayak Outing Felt Like a Private Tour

5.00We did the 3hour morning tour with Michael as our guide out on the lake. It was AMAZING! It happened that it was just my husband and I so it felt like a private tour. Paddling out to the hot springs at West Thumb Geyser Basin was so enjoyable. We saw a ton of birds along the way including fresh water pelican, kingfisher, and a killdeer (when we stopped at the beach). Michael was great and very informative. The entire experience was wonderful and we highly recommend this tour with Prismatic tours.

5.00Really fun experience and Tiffany was a great guide. Our first time kayaking so her knowledge was very helpful. Very easy course and excellent conditions with views over lake and park you would not achieve by foot.

5.00It was wonderful experience, we got there early so we got to start early! We kayaked for 6 +/- miles and enjoyed the beautiful view, talked about Yellowstone and our home town. Learned some new information and just had an overall great time! We stopped on the beach for a little break and continued on! Got in a nice workout! Michael was great and helped us get on and off of the kayak! Great instructions on how to use the paddle and overall a great guide!
