Kitchen has always been the fulcrum of this home, where my family is living since more than 7 generations.
I have always been fascinated by my grandmother's ability to prepare awesome dishes from Tuscan tradition, always with few, simple but precious ingredients.
That cultural heritage was in danger of disappearing: I spent a lot of time cooking with her, trying to learn her recipes and secrets.
In the end, I realized that she had given me a bigger gift: I had assimilated her cooking philosophy!
Then, I realized that tradition is not a dusty book but a living thing able also to adapt to new conditions, and even improve.
I studied ingredient's seasonality, their sustainable production systems, new cooking techniques, techniques of tasting: almost without realizing it, in the meantime, I became Chef and finally, also Sommelier.
Since a lot of years, I decided to share this path: a long path that is not yet finished...

It’s been about a week since my husband and I took Giacomo cooking class and we talked about it everyday since! Giacomo taught us all about the importance of the ingredients you are cooking with and how that truly makes the dish. We have already started using the knowledge Giacomo gave us to find the right ingredients to make the gnocchi that we can’t stop thinking about! Aside from that the kindness and care that is shown from Giacomo and his wife Christina makes you feel like family. They even take pictures of you so you can have those as memories but don’t have to worry about it yourself! If you are looking for a cooking class in Montepulciano this is the one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Giacomo. His knowledge and passion for quality ingredients are evident, yet he shares it in a wonderfully approachable way. His wife Cristiana, who runs the class alongside him, was equally lovely. We especially enjoyed hearing stories about his grandmother's cooking traditions and how he has brought them into modern technique. The kitchen and cooking areas were impeccably clean and the class was exceptionally well run and professional. One thing to note: the class is long, with about 3–3.5 hours of standing before you sit down to eat. Be sure to have lunch beforehand, as the dinner portion doesn't come until the final hour or so!

Overall it was a pleasant, clean and organized experience. However, it lacked warmth and charm, it was too technical and formal. Not very hospitable, we thought we would prepare one dish and enjoy while sipping the wine, we had to stand, listen, watch, and prepare only a small potion of the food. After 5 hours everything was done, felt rushed out. Only 3 in attendance and we all had the same conclusion Definitely a disappointment and overpriced.

We had a wonderful time with Giacomo! We joined him for a class during our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute. The food was incredible! He taught us so many tips and tricks about Italian cooking, and the importance of quality ingredients! Him and his wife were very welcoming and generous! We highly recommend booking a cooking class with Giacomo!

This is a very informative and comprehensive class. It is very well organized and you will leave being able to prepare these dishes at home. The food was delicious and the wine pairings superb. The setting is so beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of the experience.

I couldn’t recommend this cooking class enough! Giacomo and his wife Cristiana were so friendly and welcomed us into their home with open arms. Giacomo is a magnificent chef and sommelier - the food he produced (and taught us to produce) was exceptional and the meal we enjoyed at the end was only made better by the superb wine pairings. I can honestly say this is the best meal I have ever had. Giacomo helped guide us through the preparation of the dishes with expertise and shared the wisdom his grandmother had passed on, as well as his learnings along the way. Please do not let this experience pass you by - you won’t regret it!

we recently attended a cooking class in the picturesque landscape of Tuscany, and it was certainly an experience that we won't forget. The beautiful property set the perfect backdrop for a culinary adventure, with stunning views of rolling hills that made us feel like we were in a postcard. The instructor was undeniably professional and knowledgeable, showcasing a range of cooking techniques that were impressive. However, I must admit that the class might have been a bit advanced for our technical expertise. At times. One aspect to consider is the instructor’s strict demeanor. He communicated his expectations clearly from the outset, emphasizing punctuality and even mentioning he had plans later that afternoon and if we showed up late we would be considered a no show.—an indication of his no-nonsense approach. While I appreciate professionalism, I found it somewhat stifling at times. There were moments where he seemed frustrated with my attempts, which led to a somewhat tense atmosphere. It felt like we were there to meet a high standard rather than to enjoy ourselves. If you’re seeking a serious and structured cooking class with an expert who takes his craft very seriously, this class would likely suit you well. However, if you’re hoping for a lighthearted experience filled with laughter and camaraderie, you might want to look elsewhere. Overall, the beautiful setting and quality of instruction were noteworthy, but the intensity of the experience made it less enjoyable for my group and me.

Remarkable in every way! The Chef patiently explained his philosophy of cooking using simple ingredients to highlight the food we prepared and ate. The history of the place goes back several centuries and it’s evident in the pride he shows in his craft. Fantastic experience and absolutely worth the time and money.

We had an amazing experience! Giacomo is a great teacher, he really knows his skill. He tells you about his history, how he learned to cook, and very usefull information on how to select the right products for the dishes. I loved their philosophy on how to create simple but amazing dishes by using the best quality products and how to recognize good quality products. We did the 5 course dinner, with local appatiser, fluffy gnocchi, surprising pappardelle, chianina beef and tiramisu. All paired with local wines. Great mix of cooking on your own and watching and learning from the chef. I can't recommend it enough. Highlight of our trip!
