What To Expect
Snorkel at Turtle Canyon with guidance from certified divers, lifeguards, and experienced local watermen. Spot green sea turtles at the cleaning station and watch angelfish and schools of tropical fish around the reef. You’ll get premium snorkel gear and flotation devices, and there’s a swim step for non-swimmers to safely enjoy the water. Enjoy snacks, juice, and water on board, and bring your own drinks if you prefer. If you want to relax, use the floating platforms attached to the boat. 5.00A great experience! We were given fresh pineapple and snacks and drinks! The guides would show us where the turtles and fish were (there were many - we went at 8 am). Definitely recommend!

5.00Overall a great experience with lots of marine life to see. The staff was patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. There are a few things I would have liked to know ahead of time. They advertise a small group of no more than 20 but that is all that fits on the boat, so it takes away from the feel of a "small group" experience. They advertise platforms to relax on if you do not want to snorkel. Those were not available. Guests were encouraged to remain in the water the entire time - approximately 1 hour. The crew were able to describe marine life and were very helpful to everyone.

5.00I highly recommend this activity. Here are some things to keep in mind: It is a ride in the ocean, not a lake. Swells cause the boat to rock and bob quite a bit. You will also bob and rock in the water. Be prepared if you know you suffer from motion sickness. The crew was great. Very helpful with equipment and getting us ready. Also guided us in the water and pointed out turtles and other sea life to us. I had a minor issue with my mask and it was fixed quick while in the water. You will be swimming for about an hour. You will be given a small lifeguard rescue float thing and it is a must. It is possible to bring them, but I would not recommend for small children. Little kids (toddler-K) will have life jackets but mom or dad will have to have them on a big pool noodle with them the entire time. We saw a number of sea turtles (one came very close to my son and me. It was so cool), small schools of various fish, one of the girls went to the bottom and brought up a star fish for us to hold. It was beautiful. And honestly, just being in the ocean with Honolulu behind us was cool too. We were given a juice drink on the way out and a bag of chips on the way back. The chips were actually awesome after an hour of kicking around in the Pacific. We felt great right after and then were toast around 9 pm. We were both out by 10! (And my son is a super athlete teenager). Keep in mind that this is not like snorkeling in the Caribbean, but nevertheless, worth it!

5.00IT was really good but the day we went the water was really ruff and there were lots of boats and lots of people in the water at the same reef.
