Bungamati

Bungmati is the cultural village 10km away from Kathmandu. It is the socially and culturally very traditional Newari village isolated from modern life. This village is famous for traditional woodcarving and farming.

Khokana is a small typical newari village where the traditional craftsmanship still takes an important role. In this village, people are still seen spinning wool, winnowing rice,stitching and tailoring clothes,crushing and harvesting mustard seeds. Khokana is famous for its production of mustard oil. After visiting Khokana, we will stop at Thimi and stay overnight there.

Madhyapur Thimi

Thimi is one of the ancient, cultural and historical places along the trade route from Bhaktapur to Kathmandu.It lies in between Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. This village is situated on elevated land so one has to climb up to reach it. Thimi is famous for Pottery and cultural programs like Bisket Jatra, Gai Jatra and other dancing Jatras.
