A wonderful insight into Oxford University, its many colleges and rich traditions. Our guide, Sam Day, perfectly matched the vibrant spirit of the city and spoke with real passion about its history and culture. Combined with breathtaking architecture and lovely weather, this was a thoroughly worthwhile tour — highly recommended!.

Tour guide (Thorstein) was excellent - really informative and interactive with the group had some great stories and terrible jokes ! Great way to have a potted history of the university and its colleges in 4 hours. Value for money as it’s a 3 hour tour. Easy to locate meet site and good idea for earphone and unit meant you could hear everything he was saying. Light atmosphere and good group size of 12 so not too many people. Overall would really recommend.

Absolute best tour ever, I flew in from Canada to visit the UK and I’m here staying with my uncle and Auntie and then going to visit my cousins so my auntie decided to take me to Oxford today to do a little tour of the university. We had the best tour guide ever I can’t remember how to spell her name, but I think it’s Elena. She was absolutely amazing. She knew the facts but also told it as a story so it made you feel like you were actually there. She was extremely funny kept everyone laughing, kept everyone, smiling. Everyone was so interested in what she had to say. Nobody was off doing their own thing. Everyone was just immersed in what she had to say. It was absolutely amazing. She needs to have a raise or something. She’s incredible.

We can't say enough good things about our Footprints Tours Oxford alumni guide, Sam Day. Despite the windy, rainy weather, we could've stayed well past the allotted tour time to listen to him. He's an exceptional guide, totally enjoyable, extremely knowledgeable, with a keen sense of humor. AND an engaging story teller of Oxford's colorful, fascinating history. The time with him couldn't have been better spent.

The Footprints tour of Oxford University and town was excellent. Great directions and details prir to our arrival, very professional. Our Tour Guide, Sam, had completed 3 degrees at Oxford and likely continue as an Academic at the University made this an incredible experience. He had a deep historic background on the formation of the city, and the many colleges, but also shared amusing details on the various colleges and and competitive pranks playedon each other through the years. Making the tour not only a wonderful lesson on place and times but an entertaining one ripe with details and stories through the ages from the 700's through today. Our group of about 16 people from many countries were encouraged to ask any questions and Sam created a sense of camaraderie and kept our rapt attention throughout the tour. Thanks Sam!
