Travis, bravely resisted the Mexican forces led by General Antonio López de Santa Anna during the Battle of the Alamo. Today, the Alamo stands as a symbol of freedom, inviting visitors to explore its historic grounds, including the iconic chapel, barracks, and gardens. The Shrine of Texas Liberty showcases artifacts detailing the Alamo's rich history. Hands down one of the best educational tours I've been in. The format was a perfect mix of driving around the city and walking the various Missions and San Antonio Highlights. Our guide Juan was super knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for food and activities for our other days.

Do Not Miss This!!!!! We took a tour with Juan Carlos yesterday and it was FABULOUS!!!!! We thought we wanted to see the Alamo first but he began the tour in the missions which helped explain the Alamo’s history. Juan was knowledgeable, fun and kept the history narrative real and entertaining. If you want to see San Antonio’s beginning history, this is the tour to book. DEFINITELY ask for Juan Carlos!!!

Our guide, Juan Carlos, made this tour an exceptional learning experience for us. He has a vast knowledge of the history and provided much more detail than we expected on the tour. It was also a challenge for him because of the Fiesta activities, but he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great tour. Thank you Juan Carlos!!!
