Lake Vouliagmeni, literally means "sunken", as it was created after the roof of an underground cave colapsed. It is now a beautiful lake, located near the sea and in fact connected with it. its water, fed with hot water by underground thermal springs, is beneficial for the skin and bones.

My first visit to Greece and I did it solo. I booked this private tour to see Temple of Poseidon. What I experienced was so much more. An evening drive along the coast of Greece was unlike any other similar drives (and I'm from California) in my lifetime. My tour guide, Evangelos, was attentive to my limited mobility-related special requests for easier access points for pickup locations, to the Temple, and drop off at my hotel.(Protests in the city center made it a challenge to pick me up and drop me off). Evangelos was fantastic with story telling about ancient Greece as well as current culture. Booking this tour was one of the best decisions I ever made. One cannot leave mainland Greece without traveling to this part.
