Changgyeonggung Palace
Changgyeonggung Palace has the most beautiful night view among Korean palaces. And why does Changgyeonggung have the saddest story of all palaces in Korea? Listen to the hidden stories with the wonderful night view!
Kwangjang Market
From sipping on the iconic Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) to savoring the delightful Jeon (savory pancakes), every moment spent here offers an extraordinary gastronomic adventure. If you're a daring foodie, try the live octopus, a standout dish famously featured in the movie "Old Boy". Its unique texture and fresh taste create a culinary experience that is both exciting and memorable. Tasting the live octopus offered at the market is a personal choice. And there's more. Get ready to taste four special types of traditional Korean street food, each one a crowd-pleaser at Gwangjang Market. These are not your typical fast food; each dish has a story, every bite is a piece of Korean culture. No visit to Gwangjang Market is complete without trying the popular Kkwabaegi (twisted Korean donuts). These sweet treats are so popular that people line up to get their hands on them. But with our insider tips, you can skip the line and dive straight into this sweet indulgence.
Start from Palace: Meet at Hyehwa Station Exit 4 and follow the route through Changgyeonggung Palace, Gwangjang Market, and Jogyesa Temple. Mini bus or Van: Transportation between attractions is provided by vehicle.

Ron, our guide, was charming and informative. It was particularly good to have a guide around the food market, so that we had a full experience of Korean food. We tasted a lot of different traditional dishes.

Our guide's English was easily understood. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to tell us detailed historical stories about the royal family of the palace we visited. The food market was dun-- we visited contracted stalls where our tourist groups were also. Then we went to Jogyesa which was lit up at night

It was a really nice evening. Our host Kay was great. Everything was easy. The palace tour was fabulous there were few people around because of the rain, the food markets had awesome food, and great to meet new people rather than going to dinner by myself. Very enjoyable

We had a great time with our tour guide Chris Choi! We all agreed after the tour that while the palace is beautiful on its own Chris added a lot to the experience by sharing stories about its history and answering questions. We all have a decent knowledge of Korea history and still learned a lot. The market was a great experience because Chris guided us to some delicious spots and although he had recommendations for what we should order, we still got to adjust what we ate based on our preferences. We had a great time and would highly recommend to any group that enjoys good food and engaging history lessons
