Hanbok is a Korean word that refers to traditional Korean clothing. Hanbok is one of the most beautiful fashion styles in the world and has been beloved for over 2,000 years. You may have seen the hanbok in your favorite Korean drama, or your favorite K-Pop star wearing hanbok and wondered: what are they wearing? What kind of fashion style is hanbok? This is your chance to try it out!
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Wearing a beautiful and luxurious hanbok, you enter Gyeongbokgung Palace as a person of the Joseon Dynasty. Become the main character of a K-drama and take photos that will be memories for a lifetime! A historical guide will explain the history of 'Gyeongbokgung Palace' and take a tour around it. Watch Korea's magnificent Gyeongbokgung Palace Changing of the Guard Ceremony! Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace). Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces.

We really enjoyed this tour! We’re currently traveling with our two kids (ages five and nine), and our guide, Sheen, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and especially great with the kids. Wearing hanbok while touring the palace made the experience even more fun. We learned a lot about Korean culture, and it was interesting to see the connections between Korea’s history and modern-day Seoul. It has been one of our family’s favorite experiences so far on this trip.

Landy is a very nice and great tour person. She explained a lot about the Korean rich history and took us to see many places in the Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village nearby. The tour is meticulous plan out from start to finish. We have learnt a lot from her and highly recommend her to anyone who wants to visit South Korea.

I had a group of 6 and had a good experience! Sheen was a great guide, a wealth of information on the history and social/political context of the Palace and Hanok Village. Be prepared for lots of walking and sun! I regret not bringing a hat/sunglasses. The tour fee covers the fees needed at the different stops. I went solo and did not do the hanbok. Although, I think it’s worth it to do the hanbok + take photos if you’re coming with a friend group or with family.

We had a wonderful experience on this guided palace tour in South Korea! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history, culture, and significance of the palace in a way that was easy to understand and very engaging. We learned so much and appreciated all the interesting details and stories shared throughout the tour. One of the highlights was getting to dress up in a traditional hanbok, which made the experience even more special and memorable. Walking through the palace grounds in hanbok felt like stepping back in time and made for beautiful photos. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting South Korea. It was informative, fun, and a great way to experience Korean history and culture firsthand! Also, our guide took us to all the spot before their was any lines and all the best photo spots! A win for sure!
