We'll cook together recipes that have been passed down through generations of my Provençal family. My mother, my grandmothers, and also my father and grandfathers each had their favorite ones.
It's a simple, hearty cuisine based on quality seasonal and local products from producers who have often become friends.
As a farmer, I grow almonds and Provençal herbs (rosemary, thyme, savory, and oregano), and we'll use my almonds and pick the Provençal herbs for the preparation.
Most of these recipies can be adapted to Vegetarian, Vegan and lactose intolerant
Talking Provence culture, history, people and interact with people is one of the reason I decided to open my kitchen to prepare and share our lunch or diner.

Highlight of our time in St. Remy! Agnes was a delightful host. We cooked lunch in her home with our four children ages 16, 13, 12, and 10. They were all excited and engaged the entire time. We dinned together outside and it was perfect. We finished the day with a quick walk of her farm. Can’t recommend this Provençal experience enough!

Agnes draws on her generations of family Provencal home cooking. We made olive tapas, aubergine dip, stuffed tomatoes & courgettes & the highlight local noir nougat’s made from almonds grown on her farm. We shared lunch with obligatory baguette, cheeses & wine. Agnes is warm funny & very clever

Cooking with Agnes was one of the highlights of my week in beautiful St. Remy. We began by visiting a local market, choosing fresh seasonal ingredients for our meal. Back in her charming kitchen, we prepared several Provencal dishes - and even made nougat using almonds from her own farm. Agnes made me feel very relaxed and at home straight away, and shared her recipes, local knowledge and many small useful cooking tips Afterwards, we enjoyed delicious food we'd cooked together, accompanied by local wine and great conversation (Agnes's English is excellent). My husband met Agnes in the morning and in true Provencal spirit, she invited him to join us at her farm for lunch - such a warm and generous gesture. I would definitely recommend a cooking class with Agnes if you are keen to experience real authentic local life in St. Remy.
