Please be aware that according to the manufacturer’s specification and Austrian law the following restrictions apply for Segways:
Minimum age: 12 years
Minimum height: 150 cm
Body weight: between 45 kg and 120 kg
Therefore people who fall below or exceed these limits cannot participate in Segway Tours. Exclusion from a booked tour on account of the restrictions does not qualify for a refund.
The tour is bilingual, it is conducted in English and German.
What To Expect
Meet your guide near Karlsplatz station. You'll receive a safety orientation session at the beginning to get you comfortable on your Segway. Then, it's time to explore Vienna! Glide along the Opernring to the imperial Hofburg Palace, home to the Hapsburg Dynasty of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Glide past the Parliament building and continue through the city center, passing highlights such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral and Vienna City Hall. Get up close and personal with Vienna as you cruise along imperial streets and hidden alleys. Turn heads as you breeze by Vienna’s ornate architecture and lively streets. While visiting Vienna, this guided tour is a must! This tour combines historical information with lots of fascinating stories. Included are fantastic photo ops and superb personal service from your professional, licensed tour guide. You glide through Vienna’s historical center with its unique architecture and get a comprehensive overview of the city. All Segway tours are limited to 10 persons. This assures that you can count on a small group experience.
Morning or Afternoon TourGlide along the tree-lined Ringstrasse past impressive palaces and through pretty parks. Admire Hofburg Palace, the Rathaus and the golden Mozart statue in Stadtpark, and ride along the narrow lanes of Vienna's old town. This day tour provides an excellent overview of Vienna's must-see sights, history and beauty. Your tour ends back at the Museum Quarter, the perfect place to continue sightseeing on your own. Evening TourWitness the city come alive on the evening Segway tour. This tour is less about checking off the sights and more about immersing yourself in the beauty of the Austrian capital as the day turns to night. Watch a sunset bathe the city in a warm golden light (depending on the time of year), and marvel at magnificent buildings, monuments and landmarks lighting up against the evening sky. Learn about the sights you see from your guide, and travel back in time 150 years to imagine how Vienna must have looked for the Habsburgs during their evening carriage rides. 5.00The weather on the day we booked the tour was very wet, and as a result, we were the only people on the tour that morning. The Segway shop was easy to find with the aid of Google Maps. The Segways are well-maintained and have a small pouch area at the front that will fit a small bag/phone, etc. It also contained (more importantly, for this trip) a rain poncho. Despite limited Segway experience, our fantastic tour guide, Natalie, ensured that we could handle the Segways without crashing into pedestrians or each other. They are incredibly easy to get the hang of, and we felt safe the whole trip. Vienna has an almost overwhelming amount of history and culture. Our tour took us past beautiful buildings, places, statues, fountains, landmarks and more. The weather did not lessen the experience. Natalie was able to provide us with lots of interesting history, anecdotes and insights into Viennese culture, both past and present. We even had time for a small break at a little coffee shop. We were so glad we booked this tour. It really was amazing and, without doubt, was a highlight of our trip. I would definitely recommend it. Go raibh maith agat, Natalie.

5.00If you're on the fence about doing a Segway tour in Vienna, quit overthinking it and book it. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Lisa Marie, was absolutely fantastic. She was fun, energetic, knowledgeable, and had the perfect personality for a tour guide. She somehow managed to make the history of Vienna interesting while keeping the tour relaxed, entertaining, and full of laughs. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that made a huge difference in the experience. We covered a ton of Vienna's major sights, learned some great local history, got insider tips, and saw way more than we could have covered on foot. The Segways were easy to ride, and Lisa Marie did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and confident before heading out. A shout-out to the front desk staff as well—they were friendly, professional, organized, and made the whole check-in process smooth and stress-free. We're from Utah and love exploring cities in a fun, active way, and this tour was exactly that. Great sights, great guide, lots of laughs, and an awesome way to experience Vienna. If you're booking this tour, hope you get Lisa Marie—you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Would absolutely do it again

5.00. It's my first time to try out a Segway, it has a quick learning curve, so it was not that difficult to ride it and get used to it. However, it's not so comfortable in terms of you having to stand for the whole duration of the tour (~3h). So it has the same effort of walking tours for me (in terms of effort). Nonetheless, it's way faster than walking which gives a longer opportunity to watch more stuff at the same time duration. Our tour guide, Florian, was a nice friendly guy who is really so knowledgeable about the history of the city and the buildings that he was showing us, as well as a good sense of humor that makes the whole tour more entertaining. So overall, I'm very happy with the tour and definitely would recommend it.
