Choose your desired tour start time and travel independently to Oskar Schindler’s Factory Museum in central Krakow. Meet your guide outside and hear how the museum is housed in the very factory where the Nazi industrialist Oskar Schindler employed Jewish workers during WWII. Before starting, get an illuminating introduction to Schindler, learning how Steven Spielberg brought his story to the world’s attention in his 1993 Oscar-winning movie, Schindler’s List. Then, head inside for your in-depth tour. Made up of interactive and photographic displays, the museum concentrates not only on Schindler’s and his employees’ work, but also on Krakow’s suffering during the run-up to war and beyond. As you explore, your guide will provide fascinating commentary, recounting poignant tales that will deepen your understanding of what happened here and Krakow’s history. Learn Schindler’s story and how his Jewish employees manufactured pots, pans, tins and other enamelware for the German army: a vital war effort that protected them from near-certain transportation to the concentration camps. See some of the products made here, view Schindler’s office, and hear the fates of some of the 1,200 Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — who worked in the factory. Follow your guide around the rooms dedicated to Krakow’s suffering during the war and later 20th century. View photographs of the terrorized city; be transported into the cobbled streets, resistance hideaways and prisons of the Nazi- and Soviet-occupied city; and get a sense of the overwhelming fear that gripped the population through original documents, artifacts, and film and radio recordings. After two hours of exploring, your tour ends outside the building. Say goodbye to your guide, who will provide you with directions back to the city center or your hotel as required.

Great guided tour of Schindler’s office building next to the factory. The tour includes what life was like for the Polish people and Jewish people from just before the war right up until the end of the war.

Excellent tour. The tour guide did a great job providing the highlights of the museum and retelling about Krakow's history with a nuanced yet factual view.

Terribly unorganized tour, the fault of the sponsor as well as the guide. Guide was lacking presentation skills and did not project his voice in tightly packed room where he competed with background noise from other guides and the displays. I missed most of what he said, although he was knowledgeable. The museum sponsor let far too many people into small spaces even though we were told these were timed entrances. What could have been a very interesting experience turned out to be limited by the number of people pushed through the doors.

To be frank, I did not find this experience helpful at all. I booked the 9:30 AM tour and arrived 15 minutes early to be punctual, but the guide never showed up at the scheduled time. There was no tour at 9:30, and I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes for the 10:00 AM group. In hindsight, booking in advance was unnecessary. There was little to no line, and it would have been much easier to arrange everything on-site. The overall experience was disappointing. The description was misleading, as I assumed the ticket was included, but it was not. You still need to stand in line separately to purchase a ticket. Essentially, the fee is only for the guide. I would not recommend this tour company.

I went with a friend but the time was changed at the last moment so we couldn’t get to the tour meeting spot in time which was very unprofessional.. very poor as it was meant to be a large part of our trip.. after some hassle we got a refund having booked weeks in advance.. unreliable and the first time this has happened to me

I would highly recommend a guided tour otherwise you will not understsnd a llt of it ,as it is no longer a factory but more of a museum about the Nazi occupation .

We came here to find out more about how Oskar Schindler managed to deceive the Nazi regime, of which he himself was a part, in such a way. But this subject is not covered at all, in fact, in the whole tour there is only very brief reference to the factory of Oskar Schindler. This tour deals with the German invasion of Poland/Krakow and its consequences for the population. But this tour has absolutely nothing to do with the Schindler factory, which no longer exists, and could therefore just as easily be given at any location. Our finding and conclusion is that this activity is offered under a totally wrong heading and was therefore a serious turn-off In addition, you only buy a tour and you still have to buy tickets!
