We booked our tour directly with Cozumel Flavor Walk on Facebook. You will be asked which tour. We loved the Flavor Walk, and now wanted to try something new . We met the tour guides Julio and Rollo at the Centro Clock Tower at 10 am. Both were delightful and spoke Spanish and English fluently. We were given a tour and history of the beautiful Clock Tower Park followed by a quick walk to the COZ Coffee Roasting Company where we enjoyed freshly brewed coffee and given a presentation by the Master Roaster. It was interesting and informative - and there were no sales pitches. We were introduced to the genuinely welcoming staff . From there, we hopped into a tuk tuk, also known as a Mototaxie, for a ride into the local nontourist part of the city to tour the Cozumel Chocolate Factory . We were greeted by a wonderful staff . The tour guide was born in Mexico and graduated as an English Major from college. The experience included interactive personal chocolate making, the history of Cocoa beans and chocolate, and all the while tasting different chocolate beverages, cocoa beans, and chocolates. The chocolate factory tour concluded with making your own chocolate bar from hand grinding the beans to the final product. Despite chocolate products for sale. there were no sales pitches. We left with our chocolate bars and personalized Diploma For Chocolate Making. We ended the tour at a local, nontourist ice cream shop - a short walk to the Clock Tower Park. The tour is about 2.5 hours. Probably appropriate for ages 10 - 99. Walking is minimal . We give a five star ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ review.
