Drop-off at your hotel in Rome and/or Rome's Fiumicino (FCO) airport. This is a shared small-group transfer with no more than 8 passengers and two designated pickup times:

- 7:00 am, for guests going to Rome's FCO airport

- 9:30 am, for guests going to lodgings in Rome and/or Rome's FCO airport

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

- The 9:30 departure MAY INCLUDE A STOP AT THE AIRPORT BEFORE GOING TO ROME, depending on the destinations of the passengers on that day. - There could be MULTIPLE HOTEL DROP-OFFS.

- Pick-up times may vary by 10-15 minutes in the event we are picking up from multiple ships. You must be prepared to be flexible and attentive with regard to pickup time. We will advise you of any variations.

-LUGGAGE LIMIT: One large suitcase and one carryon per person.

The duration of transfers is approximate, the exact duration will depend on traffic conditions and the destinations of all passengers.

Children 0-5 years old must occupy their own spot in a regulation car seat or booster. We provide car seats and boosters as a complimentary service. Please request after booking.

The 9:30 departure may include a stop at the airport before going to Rome, depending on the destinations of the passengers on that day. This also means that there could be multiple hotel drop-offs.

KINDLY NOTE: Luggage limit is one large bag and one carry-on per person.

What To Expect

This is a shared transfer from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome. We offer 2 pick-up times: - 7:00 am, for guests going to Rome's FCO airport (Leonardo da Vinci/Fiumicino)This transfer does not go to Rome hotel. The drive from port to airport is 1 hour. - 9:30 am, for guests going to lodgings in Rome and/or Rome's FCO airport (This departure MAY INCLUDE A STOP AT THE AIRPORT before going to Rome, depending on the destinations of the passengers on that day. This also means that there could be MULTIPLE HOTEL DROP-OFFS.) KINDLY NOTE: Pick-up times may vary by 10-15 minutes in the event we are picking up from multiple ships. We will advise you of any variations. Our driver will be waiting for you dockside, in the area for private drivers, holding a sign with your name on it. Do NOT take any kind of shuttle. We went straight to the Airport so was first stop. If you are going into Rome you may have to go to the Airport first. Excellent driver provided cold water as it was very hot.

Reliable transfer, it was a shared minibus, but we didn’t realise we’d have to go to the airport, with another couple before we transferred to Rome. So the trip took longer. It was ok because our Rome tour was in the afternoon, but if it had been in the morning, we may have been late for it or missed it. This needs to be made clearer when booking. I think the transfers should go to one place, not Rome and the airport. Also, we waited half an hour for the driver, there were 2 exits at the port, we were at one and he was at the other. I walked up and down the line a few times. I think the driver should have done this, he knows the port better than we do and knows there is more than one exit. We did reach our hotel eventually.

Our driver picked us right on the dockside of the ship from our cruise. He was on time and even gave us water because it was extremely hot outside. They communicated very well and the transfer was stress free.

I was under the impression I’d booked a private airport transfer from the Rome dock to the Rome airport, but when my husband & I were ready to leave, we were 15 minutes late. It turns out other passengers were booked on this transfer necessitating that they leave us! I paid almost $300 for this transfer, and Viator nor the provider will refund my money. Very disappointed/ at the least I thought they could have sent over another driver since we were late. So, end result, we paid double for our airport transfer.

Don't expect a scenic ride. Boat was crowded, windows dirty, couldn't see out. Thought the taxi would dop us at our hotel's private pier, but got dumped at Rialto public pier, resulting in wrestling our luggage over many steps in the afternoon heat.
