This food tour was great! Our guide, Chris, was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour is easy - just 2 hours - so its easy to add to your travel plans and also a good way to see downtown if that's not on your schedule already. We spent 5 nights in Tucson and this tour was a great way to see the city and check that off our list. He also walked around with us and showed us the various murals in the city that are just beautiful. Would highly recommend. Go hungry - we had empanadas, a taco, a Sonoran hot dog and a dessert and were very full afterwards!

What a great tour! Eat at four Sonoran Mexican restaurants in two hours and learn some fun facts about Tucson and Sonoran food. Sonora is the Mexican state immediately to the south of Tucson, so of course this type of food is prevalent throughout Tucson. Think carne asada, Sonoran hot dogs, Raspados (like a Mexican shaved ice) and more. This tour hits four Sonoran Mexican restaurants as you walk through downtown Tucson. The tour guides are also very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend this tour!

I loved everything about this tour especially the huge carne asada taco from Sonoran moonshine. The two hours flew by. Chris (our guide) was fantastic.

This was a great food tour focused on food that comes from Southern Arizona and Sonora Mexico. The food samples were delicious. The stories about the food and restaurants was interesting. I was full by the end of this 2 hour tour. I’m a local, and I didn’t even know some of the facts the house spoke about concerning the food.

We loved the new 2-hour Sonoran Food Tour in Tucson! It was the perfect length not too long, so my daughter stayed engaged the whole time. Every stop was delicious, but the carne asada tacos at Sonora Moonshine were definitely our favorite. A fun, tasty way to experience Tucson’s food scene. Highly recommend!

10/10 recommend. I recently did the Sonoran Style Tour and loved every part of it. Our guide, Karen, was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful — I really appreciated how she shared background and history before each stop. It made every bite feel more meaningful and connected to Tucson’s culture. We started with a carne asada taco at Sonora Moonshine and wow — the taco was literally the size of the side of my head. Packed with meat, and the chile and cheese cooked into the bottom of the tortilla made it extra flavorful and so delicious. Next was a Sonoran hot dog from Antojitos, topped with this little jalapeño sauce that completely took it to the next level. So good. We also tried fresh blue corn empanadas from Chela’s — you could truly taste how fresh the blue corn was, simple and delicious. We finished with raspados, and I went with tamarindo — refreshing, tangy, and the perfect way to end the tour. If you’re visiting Tucson or even a local wanting to experience Sonoran food through history and community, this tour is absolutely worth it. 🌵💛
