Welcome to my culinary study! In this authentic experience, I will take you hand in hand to discover the secrets of Yucatecan cuisine. As a chef from Yucatan, I will share with you the traditional techniques that have been passed down through the generations. During the class you will learn and participate in: The Art of the Taste : We will prepare from scratch the traditional marinade for an authentic Chicken Pibil, learning the exact balance of spices and annatto. Cooking Techniques: We will bring the chicken to its exact point of flavor and softness. Dough and Tortillas : You will learn to toast and cook your own tortillas by hand, the soul of any Mexican table. Yucatecan sauces: We will make artisan sauces (including the iconic habanero and purple onion) to accompany our dishes. The Sweet Touch: To close with a golden clasp, we will cook traditional crispy churros. Tasting : At the end of the preparation, we will sit down to enjoy a feast with everything cooked. We will taste the dishes together in a private and relaxed atmosphere, sharing stories and the true taste of my land.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars Our cooking class in Tulum with Chef Jair and his assistant was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and excited to learn. Chef Jair was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about sharing the rich flavors and traditions of Yucatecan cuisine. The food was outstanding—fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Every step of the cooking process was explained clearly, and they were always available to answer questions and offer guidance. The handmade tortillas, traditional salsas, and delicious main dishes were some of the best food we had during our stay in Tulum. What truly made this experience special was the kindness and friendliness of Chef Jair and his assistant. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time, creating a fun, relaxed, and interactive atmosphere. It felt like cooking with friends rather than attending a class. If you’re visiting Tulum and looking for a memorable cultural experience, I highly recommend this cooking class. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we left with full hearts, full stomachs, and recipes we can’t wait to recreate at home!

We had such a great time cooking with Chef Jair and his team Delia and Andrés! They were all so sweet and lovely, and the food and drinks were delicious!
