The views of the Alaska Mountain Range and Mount Denali were, without question, the crown jewel of our Alaska trip. Check-in at the K2 Aviation terminal in Talkeetna was quick and easy. After a short wait of about 15 to 20 minutes, we boarded the plane and were soon on our way. There were eight passengers on board, not including the pilot, and everyone had a window seat. We could not have asked for a more perfect day - bright sunshine, clear skies, and no clouds. The views were absolutely spectacular. Snow-capped peaks, deep valleys, and glaciers stretched out in every direction. The grandeur of the mountains is almost impossible to put into words. Flying past Mount Denali and seeing its peak at eye level was an unforgettable experience. We had signed up for the glacier landing, and the pilot made a smooth landing on the snow. Once we stepped out of the plane, I was struck by how small we felt amid the vastness of the snow-covered landscape around us. With the bright sun reflecting off all the white snow, it actually felt warmer on the glacier than it had at the airstrip. I was also very glad I had put on the shoe covers before boarding, as the snow was easily a foot to a foot and a half deep. We spent about half an hour in the snow-covered valley before boarding the plane for the return flight to Talkeetna. On the way back, I had the chance to sit up front as co-pilot, and the view from the cockpit was simply amazing. My only suggestion would be for the pilot to provide a bit more information about the mountain range and some of the history surrounding Denali. Even with headphones on, the plane was quite noisy, and there was not much opportunity to ask questions during the flight. That said, this was by far the highlight of our Alaska vacation. The views, the glacier landing, and the sheer scale of Denali made this an experience we will never forget.

This was our first trip to Alaska - 8 of us celebrating my sister’s 50th wedding anniversary. Our flight seeing tour was the highlight of our Alaska trip! K2 staff and our pilot were all great! The flight was so smooth and, though we were unable to land on the glacier due to weather, the flight was awesome thanks to our pilot! We even saw the top of Denali! Don’t miss this adventure!

We flew with Riley. He did a great job giving us time to take lots of photos. It was a beautiful day in June. We weren't certain how to dress. It was actually colder on the flight than when we stepped out on the glacier. It was quite an experience and the views were amazing.

Great ride to the glacier. Fantastic views. We actually showed up a day early and the young lady at the counter (I think her name was Lanie) got us on a flight for the day we were there. Great work.

This was a great flight and we really enjoyed it. Everyone at K2 was friendly and nice. Our pilot gave us a very smooth and comfortable flight. We even got a bonus because we booked for just a flight over Denali but they offered us the glacier landing. Everything was wonderful! I gave it only 4 stars because even though our pilot was very nice and capable we felt he could have given a little more information during the flight. There was a limited narrative of the mountains and area. But overall we would highly recommend this trip.

Loved our flight with our pilot Dorothy thru the Denali mountains. We had beautiful weather for a great view of Denali, Hunter and the Alaskan Range of mountains. I even got to sit in the co-pilot’s seat, which was an extra special treat! Dorothy made sure to make passes of all the sights on both sides of the plane so everyone could see all the beautiful views. Special shout out to Greg our shuttle driver who picked us up at the train station, dropped us off in town for lunch, then picked us back up for our flight. First class operation all the way around.

An amazing experience to view Denali from the air and glacier landing. The weather was PERFECT for our flight. The pilot, Jack, was also an instructor, so I felt very safe. The plane was clean and well-maintained. Right at 2 hour flight including glacier landing. Jack gave commentary over headphones during flight. Glacier landing was extremely smooth and Jack continued commentary and took pictures if we wanted. Booties were offered, but my hiking boots sufficed because loose snow was not very deep. Our tour bus driver said "when you are sitting at home after the flight, you won't be saying 'I wish I had saved the cost of the flight', you will be saying 'best experience and I would definitely do it again'"

Gorgeous day flying around Denali. The pilot was ok. It was quite a bumpy ride out and back and he did not mention anything over the radio to prepare us. Did not communicate with anyone on the plane except when we got on he told us his name and went over safety. Once we got to the mountain range it was beautiful and a smooth ride. We were luckily to have a very clear , sunny day which made for amazing pictures. The K2 operation was very professional and prompt from pickup to drop off. Would definitely recommend! It was a highlight of our Alaska trip .
