• Wrong bus

  For our tour that day we were sent a location to come to, at agreed time a bus came to pick us up for the tour. Once we were in the bus it turned out that this was the wrong bus and we should have been in another with 3 other people who were picked up incorrectly. When it turned out that we were in the wrong place, they kicked us out and threw us out without any explanation. We were not picked up by the right bus and did not get our money back. When contacting Epic Tours, they tell us that we have not shown up at all and are not entitled to the money back or the tour on another day.

  Brilliant trip. 10/10. We had Claudia as our tour guide and Lleshi as our driver. They were so friendly and professional. They made the experience even better. Thank you so much.

  The day trip itself is recommendable; however, I would not book it again with the tour guide Claudia. The pickup already started off problematically: We were picked up about 20 minutes late and at the wrong location. Only after a phone call could the situation be clarified. During the drive, it also became apparent that the driver regularly talked on the phone and sent messages, which did not create a professional or safe impression. Claudia was responsible for a total of 38 people and had to switch between two vans. As a result, she was only with our group intermittently. She took over the actual tour of the area, but overall, the support seemed poorly organized. She initially began in the van by sharing interesting information about Albania, but she interrupted her explanations, claiming that the listeners' interest was apparently lacking. She shared the information while the tour through the mountains started, and many were looking out the window. She later only answered questions in private conversations. Professionally, she also did not leave a confident impression: When asked about the altitude above sea level, for example, she simply stated "500" without further explanation or noticeable confidence in her answer. According to Google information, this is also incorrect. Additionally, a WhatsApp group was created without prior consent, through which important information such as departure times was communicated. This is particularly problematic for participants without mobile internet or if they are not informed about it in advance. Overall, Claudia seemed to us to be somewhat inauthentic and at times quite pushy. What was particularly unpleasant was that she actively pressured for a 5-star rating, stood by while doing so, and even provided a hotspot so that the review could be submitted directly. The excursion itself was worth seeing, and we enjoyed the places we visited. However, the organization and especially the support from Claudia significantly detracted from the experience.

  Bovilla is one of those places that leaves you speechless. Surrounded by incredible natural beauty, it feels like stepping into a postcard. The road there is rough and adventurous, but every bump is forgotten the moment you see the view. A hidden gem of Albania that is absolutely worth the trip.

  Claudia was an amazing tour guide and also a great supporter. I had an incredible experience visiting Lake Bovilla, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Claudia. From the moment the tour started, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about the area. She shared fascinating information about the history, nature, and local culture, making the entire experience both enjoyable and informative. Claudia went above and beyond to ensure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. Her positive energy, professionalism, and attention to detail made the tour truly special. The breathtaking views of Lake Bovilla were unforgettable, and Claudia made sure we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy them and take photos. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area, and if you have Claudia as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional experience.   The experience was great. The guide Valeria was lovely, she made everyone feel included and was nice. The trip was fun, very considerate and made sure everyone was safe. Even though I went solo, she took pictures and made sure I didn’t miss out on the experience. The driver was also lovely.
