5.00I like the Petersens on YouTube but they're much better live. The Little Oprey Theater is a wonderful, intimate venue for delivery of music in their style. I hope they will schedule a show near my home later in the year.

5.00If you like good acoustic musicianship and family harmonies, you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere of the venue is intimate and relaxed with not a bad seat in the house. The Peterson's show is a must see for me every time I come to Branson. As one with discriminating musical taste and limited financial resources, this investment in time and money is more than well spent.

1.00The Perfect Facade of the American Dream Welcome to Branson, Missouri—the capital of sterile happiness. Look at the stage. There stand The Petersens. They are flawless: modest floral dresses, blinding smiles, and angelic harmonies. They sing to us about the great Shenandoah river, the endless prairies, and faithfulness to God. And in that exact moment, the modern mind breaks. We look at this pastoral paradise and see nothing but props. We know that behind that sweet song about Shenandoah lie centuries of tragedy for indigenous peoples. We realize that these grown, successful women have subjected their own biology and thoughts to the rigid dogmas of Southern Baptists. They fork over a 10% tithe to their church, while their social media moderators incinerate any piece of reality that dares to poke through their AstroTurf lawn. To us, it looks like a golden cage and a violation of human nature. We wait for them to turn into bitter, resentful witches. But the twist is—they are genuinely happy. While our world cracks at the seams from cynicism and loneliness, they’ve built their own Noah’s Ark. They’ve sublimated everything we call "life" into roaring success, millions of views, and absolute loyalty to the clan. We can try to wage war on this matrix, spamming them with facts about Native Americans or human physiology. But a moderator will hit “Ban”, and their world will instantly become perfectly clean again. They are selling a myth of an America that never existed. So is it really worth getting mad at Disneyland just because Mickey Mouse is made of foam inside? Let’s just lean back and turn on their flawless bluegrass. For just three minutes, let's pretend the world can be this simple and naive. Cheers to illusions. After all, sometimes they sound damn beautiful.

5.00Just was a marvelous, special experience. We loved the music & lyrics the Petersens’ chose. We loved the narratives from them between songs. They projected values which resonated with us. They are highly proficient, talented, hard working performers who add warmth & humor to their musical show. We found the show relatively low key, not sensory overload. It was totally tasteful & a triumph of talent, skill & values over nonsense. I am glad we didn’t miss it. The best of America. THANKS.

5.00If you make it to Branson, do yourself a great favor and see this show. They are a delightful family and they are great musicians/singers. The story of how they were brought up and how they evolved as a family and a group is compelling. I have now seen them twice, and each show was entirely different...and they write most of their material. I found myself smiling during the performance and afterwards, which is probably the highest praise I can give any show.
